Car and coffee to go? Lexus has partnered with one of Japan’s oldest and most respected coffee brands to offer an exclusive menu to its customers.
“We are excited to offer another way for those who visit the Lexus showroom at Mitsukoshi to experience amazing as we partner with Key Coffee,” said Raymond Rodriguez, Lexus Manila Inc. President as the brand kicked off its exclusive, limited-time Key Coffee menu last Saturday for a crafted experience.
Key Coffee was founded in 1920 and is one of Japan’s pioneering coffee companies. Its vision from the outset was to create a coffee culture that “enriches the heart.” Key Coffee is famous for its kissaten or old-style Japanese coffee shop inspired by traditional tea houses.
“Our collaboration creates an environment that places the customers at the center. This pop-up store is a lounge where coffee lovers can relax while taking in the sights of Lexus vehicles on display,” Rodriguez continues.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Lexus, a brand synonymous with excellence, innovation, and tradition. Through Key Coffee Kissaten, this partnership allows us to showcase our modern Kissaten lifestyle, reflecting the luxury and sophistication that Lexus embodies,” Bryan Chua, President of Key Coffee Kissaten, remarked.
Inspired by the values and qualities Lexus is known for, the menu includes a range of mouthwatering and refreshing offerings for customers who want to relax and immerse themselves in the Lexus brand and view the cars on display at the showroom.
Customers at the Mitsukoshi Mall showroom can indulge in the crafted Wafu Salad (P550), a selection of fresh greens, kani, and shredded nori tossed in Japanese-style vinaigrette, or the Seafood Chowder (P400), an elevated yet homey stew of clams and shrimp that will delight the senses.
For mains, experience amazing with the Subarashi Wagyu Burger (P520), which is Key Coffee’s take on personalized luxury with its savory combination of an exquisite wagyu patty, homemade burger bun, and premium ingredients, topped with the iconic Lexus emblem.
The Wagyu Ragu Pasta (P680) is inspired by the craft of Lexus Takumi Masters, made with sophisticated pasta with wagyu meatballs in ragu and drizzled with parmesan, while the Pork Katsu Sando (P480) is an authentic culinary indulgence in pork katsu with a special sweet sauce and slaw sandwiched in a pillowy-soft shokupan toast.
Good for sharing is the Garlic Bacon Pizza, (P650) made using hand-tossed dough with garlic cream sauce, three kinds of cheese, and miso bacon.
For dessert, customers can enjoy the Miso Chocolate Chip Cookies (P80 each), an imaginative combination of sweet and umami flavors.
A playful complement to the menu is the Sakura Fizz (P170), a cool and refreshing beverage that pays homage to the Japanese roots of Lexus.
