In 1975, Hubert de Givenchy created the Givenchy Gentleman, a fragrance of timeless elegance embodying “the most gentle of men.”
Fifty years later, the Givenchy Gentleman Society continues to expand with the gentlemen of our time who share essential values—keen social awareness, deep respect for others, unwavering loyalty towards their commitments, elegance tinged with irreverence, and the wish to have a positive impact on society.
Following Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum and Eau de Parfum Extrême, Givenchy is now exploring a new facet of the gentleman attitude with Eau de Parfum Ambrée. The house draws inspiration from its founder, Hubert de Givenchy, and from the most flamboyant sides of his personality, creativity, and free-spiritedness.

He himself actually used to define his way of living as “grand style.” Eau de Parfum Ambrée was thus imagined as the essence of the most dazzling gentlemen. An icon recognizable at first glance, the bottle doesn’t bear any labels or inscriptions. It shows another sign of distinction: a 4G metal plate, like a Gentleman Society rallying symbol.
For Eau de Parfum Ambrée, this emblematic symbol is featured in champagne gold, a precious, timeless hue. It brightens the entirely black lacquered bottle whose masculine lines and contemporary elegance remain unaltered. Featured as a border on the black case, this burnished gold puts the spotlight on a perfume that is bound to draw attention.

The richness of a flamboyant sillage

Since the creation of the Eau de Parfum, the combination of a narcissus absolute and a quartet of vetivers has been the unique olfactory signature of Gentleman Society. For Eau de Parfum Ambrée, this one-of-a-kind accord gives the impression of being shrouded in gold: perfumer Karine Dubreuil Sereni enveloped it in warm, opulent notes that are, in turn, resinous, ambery, and spicy.
Balsam from Peru and opoponax interact with Tasuki vanilla from Madagascar—an exceptional quality used for the first time by Givenchy—as if their flamboyant facets mutually reflected light. Their glow is highlighted by the contrast with dark notes of leather, tobacco, and sandalwood from Australia—a chiaroscuro effect that gives Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum Ambrée its rich, textured, and deeply addictive sillage.
Givenchy Eau de Parfum Ambrée is available in 60ml (Php 6,950) and 100ml (Php 8,950) formats at Rustan’s (Makati, Alabang, Gateway, Shangri-La Plaza, Cebu); SM Store (Mall of Asia, North EDSA, Megamall, Makati, Aura, San Lazaro, Fairview, Clark, Seaside Cebu); The Landmark (TriNoma, Makati, Alabang); LOOK (SM Mall of Asia, SM Aura); Robinsons Place (Manila); and online at Rustans.com.
