This new quartz surfacing line boasts style, functionality, and sustainability

Silestone’s new Suma color series is elegant, durable, and made using sustainable technology.

In a world of many distractions, it’s nice to come home to an oasis of calm and balance. This is what Silestone’s new line, the Suma Color Series promises. The latest quartz surfacing collection from Spanish-owned company Cosentino weaves together style, purpose, and sustainability for a home where you can feel fully rested after a long day.

Carried by Ashton Technologies, a leader in design and consultation services in the Philippines, Silestone’s Suma Color Series was launched through an intimate event titled “Designing Tomorrow: Where Sustainability Meets Style” last June 26 at Gallery by Chele in BGC. The launch brought together renowned interior designers, architects, and leading design publications for an afternoon of what Ashton calls “intentional sustainability.”

In an interview with The POST, Kieran Sy, a consultant for Ashton, shared that when they reach out to new customers, they want to make sure that they see the Suma Color Series by Silestone as something that they can incorporate into their new homes.

He highlighted the line’s warmth and white marble pattern, as well as its light colors which he noted are starting to gain popularity. “It is also offered at a price range that’s very affordable,” Kieran added with a smile.

The Suma Color Series is inspired by elegant cream and ivory base tones with soft, sophisticated veining, reminiscent of marble. Each of the five colorways is versatile and is designed to bring warmth, light, and a timeless charm to your interiors.

There’s Bronze Rivers, which features gold and gray veins on a warm white backdrop for a luxurious reinterpretation of classic marble. Siberian is inspired by Calacatta marble, with undulating warm gray veins that reminds one of the quiet rhythms of the sea. Persian White is a luminous, elegant white with fine, cream-toned veins and a balanced organic structure. Motion Grey, meanwhile, has a limestone-inspired surface with granitic texture and delicate warm-toned veining. Finally, there’s Linen Cream, a subtle yet rich beige surface with veining that adds depth to neutral-toned spaces.

All colorways are available in Polished for high-shine intensity and Suede for a velvety matte finish, allowing designers and homeowners to tailor spaces to their own style.

Aside from the versatility of its colorways, what makes the Suma Color Series by Silestone “very special,” according to Kieran, is its commitment to sustainability. “We like to make sure that our products (at Ashton) are made in a sustainable way, while not sacrificing the quality and performance of the stone.”

Each Silestone surface is crafted with Hybriq+ technology, Cosentino’s sustainable manufacturing process that uses 100% renewable energy, 99% reused water, and at least 20% recycled materials, with zero water waste. The use of recycled materials helps divert waste from landfills, supporting the company’s circular economy.

Beyond being eco-friendly and anti-bacterial, the technology allows Silestone to maintain its remarkable resistance, durability, and also its hygiene certifications. And because Silestone surfaces are resistant to scratching and chipping, they maintain their functionality and appearance for decades, minimizing the need for replacement and helping reduce overall resource consumption. Kieran noted during the interview that Silestone products come with a 25-year warranty.

Silestone is great for indoor use, Kieran added. “We’ve seen it used on kitchen countertops and showers. It’s very resistant to heat, (and is) non-porous. So if you use it in bathrooms you won’t have to worry about cracking,” he said. “It’s a very durable stone indoors.”

It has also been used in more creative ways, he observed, such as for flooring and interior walls. “There’s a lot of design aspects where it can be used,” he mentioned, adding, “I think it’s the perfect stone for having quality, unique designs, and also being offered in a price range that can affordably fit the needs of people.”

In a statement, Jennifer Cobankiat Sy, vice president of Ashton, said that as the company continues to move toward a future where sustainability and style go hand in hand, the Suma Color Series represents a “beautiful balance” among performance, aesthetics, and purpose. “We are proud to introduce a collection that not only reflects today’s design sensibilities but also our values as a company, centered on longevity, versatility, and environmental responsibility.”
