Halloween 2024 gave us two weekends of star-studded transformations and celebrities who went the extra mile. Hollywood’s biggest names weren’t just in costume, they were in character, serving style, sentiment, and a few laughs.

Here’s the breakdown of who wore what and how they turned Halloween into a true pop culture moment.

Nostalgia overload

This year’s Halloween felt like a love letter to pop culture’s best moments. Celebrities leaned into nostalgia, reviving beloved characters and icons with pitch-perfect recreations.

Paris Hilton as Mia Wallace and Britney Spears (“Baby One More Time” era). Hilton nailed the Pulp Fiction vibe. The sleek bob, the red lipstick—Hilton’s look hit all the marks, dripping in cult classic cool. She also donned braided pigtails and paid homage to Pop Princess Britney Spears

Jennifer Garner as Jenna Rink from 13 Going on 30. Garner celebrated two decades of 13 Going on 30 by “reprising” her role.

Sabrina Carpenter as Sandy from Grease. Carpenter’s Sandy was all about ‘50s pop culture, bringing the ultimate girl-next-door energy to Halloween.

Halle Bailey as Halle Berry’s Bond girl. Bailey totally rocked her tribute to Halle Berry’s Jinx from Die Another Day

Victoria Justice as Coraline. Justice transformed into Coraline, the adventurous and creepy-cool heroine from the animated cult classic.

For some celebrities, Halloween was a time for private moments. There were nods to friendships, relationships, or costumes that reflected their unique personalities.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco as Alice and the Mad Hatter. With Gomez as Alice and Blanco embracing his wild side as the Mad Hatter. It was fun, chaotic, and showcased the dynamic of their relationship.

Kerry Washington, Tony Golwyn, and Scott Foley as “Challengers.” This Scandal trio brought back memories of their on-screen love triangle by dressing as characters from Challengers. Like Scandal’s Olivia, Fitz, and Jake, Challengers revolves around a steamy love triangle, making this costume a clever nod to their unforgettable dynamic.

Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse as “Phantom of the Opera.” The couple leaned into romance and drama, setting a high bar for couple’s costumes this year.

Bold and unexpected

Some went for daring and unique choices, bringing a fearless energy to their Halloween looks.

Kylie Jenner as Barbarella and Demi Moore in Striptease. Jenner took Halloween to the next level with two iconic looks. Both costumes were unapologetically bold, powerful, and, well, entirely Kylie.


Amelia Dimoldenberg as Roz from Monsters Inc. Dimoldenberg’s take on the grumpy Monsters Inc. showed her humor and individuality. Halloween fashion doesn’t always have to be glamorous.

Kim Kardashian as Albino Alligator. Bold and adventurous as ever, Kardashian went all out as an albino alligator. This striking and unconventional look proved she knows how to take risks and turn heads on Halloween.

Neil Patrick Harris and family as iconic music legends. Harris, husband David Burtka, and their kids dressed as music legends from David Bowie to Madonna. Each costume was spot on, and as a family ensemble, it was Halloween perfection, nostalgic and fun all at the same time.


Rhian Ramos as Taylor Swift. The Filipina actress channeled her inner Swiftie with her TS Eras-inspired Halloween entry. It screams pop royalty.

Lighthearted and full of personality

Others embraced their playful side with humor and wit. Such costumes showed that Halloween means having a really good time.

Anne Hathaway as Spooky Statue of Liberty. Hathaway channeled her inner New Yorker in a pun-tastic costume. It was sly, lighthearted, and a play on her city’s Halloween spirit.

Solenn Heussaff, Catriona Gray, and Isabelle Daza as disco divas. For the annual Opulence Ball, these girls donned a full ’70s glam, rocking glitter, big hair, and disco flair.
