Hamnet closed the night with a big win, Timothée Chalamet got his long-awaited Globe, and KPop Demon Hunters proved it’s not just internet hype.
Awards season is officially underway, and the 83rd Golden Globe Awards wasted no time setting the tone. It was held at The Beverly Hilton and hosted by Nikki Glaser.
One Battle After Another emerged as the night’s biggest winner, taking home trophies for Best Director, Screenplay, and Supporting Actress, while Sinners scored major wins for Original Score and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. On the television side, The Pitt claimed Best Drama Series and a lead acting win, while Adolescence dominated the limited series categories, continuing Netflix’s strong awards-season run.

One of the night’s memorable moments belonged to Timothée Chalamet, who finally took home his first Golden Globe for Marty Supreme after multiple previous nominations. Animation also had a breakout moment, with KPop Demon Hunters winning Best Animated Motion Picture and Best Original Song.

The biggest surprise came when Hamnet won Best Motion Picture – Drama. The category had come down to films directed by Chloé Zhao and Ryan Coogler. Many expected Sinners to take the award. Instead, Hamnet closed out the night, with Zhao visibly stunned before quoting Paul Mescal on what the film taught him: that being an artist means being vulnerable, being seen, and giving yourself fully to the world.

On the red carpet, it was all about black, white, some shimmer, and a lot of naked dressing
While the awards crowned early favorites, fashion stole the night too. Chic black and white, naked dressing, and old-school glamour dominated the red carpet.

Selena Gomez arrived in a black Chanel column gown with a feathered neckline, keeping things elegant and classic. Teyana Taylor, who won for One Battle After Another, wore a black Schiaparelli gown with a crystal bow detail at the back and Wicked: For Good star Ariana Grande went in a dramatic Vivienne Westwood ballgown.

Meanwhile, the naked dressing game is also strong. Jennifer Lawrence stood out in a sheer Givenchy gown embroidered with florals and finished with a cape. Jennifer Lopez went full glamour in a nude mesh Jean-Louis Scherrer gown and Jenna Ortega embraced goth glamour in Dilara Findikoglu.
