Emporio Armani Spring/Summer 2026 feels like a trip in the desert

It’s relaxed, grounded, and ready to move.

Giorgio Armani didn’t walk out to bow this season. In his absence, Leo Dell’Orco, the house’s head of menswear, did so on his behalf. It’s the first time the celebrated designer missed one in almost 50 years, but he was still quietly running things while recovering from home.

Titled Origins, the show opened with a brief run of EA7 technical looks: windbreakers, light jackets, high-waisted shorts layered over sleek, fitted tops and then the mood shifted. What followed was a softer, slower, and more grounded lineup.

The show notes emphasized the designer’s exploration of travel, drawing on “signs, colors and ideas from African culture, translating them into a lightness and fluidity of form that are unmistakably Armani.”

Loose tunics, scarf tops, long shirts, and wide trousers came through in easy layers. Jackets trailed just past the hips, some worn over bare skin, others cinched at the waist or left open.

Then there’s cold-dyed cotton, linen and crepe that seemed to shift with air, each piece looking like it had already been worn, maybe traveled with. Embroidery showed up in clean lines and repeated motifs. Jackets were soft and worn open, some layered over long shirts, some work just as it is. There was a leather trench over a bare chest, a shirt printed with lines that looked drawn by hand. Prints came in and out too with mosaic patterns, faded stripes, sketches that looked hand-traced.

Most of the palette sat in desert tones: sand, ash, burnt clay, faded olive. Then came the shift with lavender, muted purples, faded reds. Everything blended seamlessly.

Accessories stayed grounded too, with straw hats, fabric bags, long belts, thin necklaces layered low. And for the shoes, slip-ons, sandals, low boots in suede.

Armani described the collection as a conversation between city and holiday, between places and times, a mix of where you’re from and where you’re going.
