BTS ARMY alert: What to know about the J-Hope x LV sneaker collab before it drops

The collectible sneaker will sell for around P117,000 when it rolls out in March in Seoul, and globally in May.

Any ARMY would agree—BTS always had the swag and style to make each of them a global fashion icon. But if there’s anyone who knows how to wow the crowd with his fashion choices as early as their “School Trilogy” era, that would be the group’s “sunshine,” J-Hope.

Outside recording studios or packed concert stadiums, J-Hope, or Jung Ho-seok, is known for his vibrant blend of streetwear, retro nostalgia, and high-fashion that make him stand out from any crowd. In fact, his unique and bold “Hobicore” style led him to become a Louis Vuitton house ambassador, as each one in his group pursued a solo career.

Since his appointment in February 2023, J-Hope has fronted LV campaigns, particularly for menswear, and attended key fashion events like the house’s recent 2026 Fall/Winter menswear show in Paris. But ARMY’s dynamic “human sunshine” is not stopping there.

In case you still didn’t know, the BTS star collaborated with the French luxury brand on a pair of Buttersoft sneakers that’s set to hit shelves sooner than you think. And if you’re already thinking of what to wear to the group’s upcoming world tour starting this April, these kicks are sure to scream Killin’ It Girl.

J-Hope first gave a glimpse of the much-awaited pair during the opening of LV The Place Seoul, the house’s largest flagship in the world to date, in December 2025. The fashionable K-pop star turned it into the statement piece of his warm neutral look that also featured a tailored jacket and wide-leg trousers.

The clothes made for a subtle backdrop for the Buttersoft sneakers, which were jazzed up with a unique design aesthetic influenced by J-Hope. According to WWD, the pair sports a furry, textured suede upper in a warm rose pink tone, which is similar to the blush colorway Louis Vuitton launched the original silhouette with in June 2025.

Other than the distinct uppers, this BTS-fied  pair is packed with sly Easter eggs. The tongue, for one, comes with a leather tag etched with the word “HOPE” in J-Hope’s handwriting. On the pull tab, you’ll see an image of a squirrel, which the singer and ARMYs consider as his unofficial spirit animal.

Then there’s the shoelace, which is emblazoned with the phrase, “Your, My Hope”—a message the Hope World hitmaker would often say to the group’s million-member fandom. What’s more, it comes with a miniature Monogram-canvas hangtag exclusively added to this pair for a collectible finishing touch.

Other than that, J-Hope’s shoe keeps the same oversized LV initials—this time, with white piping—on the sides of its upper. It contrasts with the smooth leather heel tabs that came in soft pastel peach. Layered retro-runner soles with hints of pink add to the Buttersoft’s 1960s-style aesthetic.

If you’re interested in getting your own pair, make sure to save up for it (along with tickets for the BTS world tour) as it will retail for KRW 2,850,000 or around PHP 116,370. It is slated for release on March 20 at LV The Place in Shinsegae The Reserve in Seoul before it rolls out globally in May.
