Standout style moments from the 2025 Emmys

Red carpet slays, viral speeches, and a few teary moments made this year’s Emmys one to remember.

The 2025 Emmys lit up the Peacock Theater in LA, and the red carpet gave us plenty to talk about. Lisa of BLACKPINK made her Emmys debut in vintage Mugler, instantly owning the spotlight. Selena Gomez showed up in custom Louis Vuitton with Benny Blanco, looking every bit the main character. Jenna Ortega’s Givenchy naked dress made up of giant crystals. Colman Domingo wore a powder blue Valentino suit with just the right amount of sparkle, and Sam Nivola kept things fun with a floral Dior waistcoat.

But it wasn’t just about the looks. Inside, Stephen Colbert got a standing ovation for his “Is anyone hiring?” jab, calling out his post-CBS exit and winning his well-deserved Emmy! Hannah Einbinder went off-script during her speech and signed off with, “Go Birds, f*ck ICE, and free Palestine”—a moment that had X in shambles within seconds. Tramell Tillman brought his mom as his date and dedicated his whole win to her, while Cristin Milioti checked her scribbles from therapy.

Then there was the throwback moment: The Gilmore Girls reunion. Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham reunited on stage (and on the red carpet) to present Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and joked about how Gilmore Girls “took the season of fall hostage.” It was messy, funny, emotional, and real – just like the best of TV.
