Hikaru Matsumura is known for crossing fashion and product design. He was in charge of Bao Bao Issey Miyake until 2016. After working at Miyake Design Studio and Issey Miyake Inc., he established Hikarumatsumura Design. He has been involved with various brands and design projects. He started to serve as the creative director for 52 by Hikarumatsumura in 2017.

The brand has collaborated with renowned artists and fashion designers worldwide since the ’80s.
