Your neighborhood might be IKEA’s next stop

If you spot a big blue bus parked near you, don’t ignore it. Your next home upgrade might be waiting inside.

This February, IKEA Philippines is taking its home furnishing ideas on the road with the launch of the IKEA Home Furnishing Bus, a roving showroom designed to bring storage and organization inspiration closer to Filipino communities across Metro Manila and nearby areas in North and South Luzon.

Think of it as a compact, walk-in version of IKEA right where you are.

A moving showroom built for Filipino homes

The Home Furnishing Bus officially kicked off last February 6 in Pasay City, and will continue traveling until April. Its planned stops include parts of Metro Manila, as well as Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas.

Inside the bus, visitors can explore smart, flexible storage solutions from wardrobes and drawers to office and home organization systems designed for small spaces, growing families, and everyday routines. Everything is meant to be seen up close, touched, and tested, so you can imagine how it would actually work in your own home.

Storage that makes room for memories

For many Filipino families, clutter isn’t just clutter; they are memories. Old photos, children’s drawings, hand-me-down furniture, toys kept long after childhood. Decluttering isn’t about throwing things away, but about finding ways to keep what matters without overwhelming the space you live in.

The Home Furnishing Bus focuses on that concept. Instead of asking people to let go, IKEA shows how thoughtful storage can help families hold on to memories, routines, and everyday moments while still creating calmer, more functional homes.

Stories inside the bus

During the launch, celebrity host Boy Abunda led Fast Talk interviews inside the bus, joined by actress Jolina Magdangal at the February 6 stop in Pasay City. Another episode featured content creator Benedict Cua during the February 8 stop at Ayala Malls Nuvali.

The campaign also includes a collaboration with Ang Walang Kwentang Podcast, hosted by directors Antoinette Jadaone and JP Habac, with episodes filmed right inside the bus. These conversations add another layer to the experience, reminding visitors that homes are built as much on stories as they are on shelves and boxes.

Come in, open the drawers, ask questions

Visitors are encouraged to do more than just look. Open the drawers. Test the items. Ask questions. Listen to the stories playing inside the bus.

By meeting people in their own neighborhoods, IKEA Philippines reinforces its role as a partner in everyday home life
