Toteme brings Swedish minimalism to New York for Spring/Summer 2026

The collection is structured, easy, and grounded in a sense of calm.

Toteme made its way back to New York Fashion Week for S/S 2026, staging its show inside The Pool at the Seagram Building. For Elin Kling and Karl Lindman, the choice of venue was a personal one. The husband-and-wife duo launched Toteme in New York before relocating it to Stockholm, and they used to celebrate milestones at this very restaurant.

“It feels very special and quite nostalgic,” Lindman said backstage, as reported by WWD, adding that the room’s perfectly square shape echoes the clarity Toteme is known for.

Kling described the season as exploring “undone beauty.” That idea came through in crinkled leather dresses, airy knits, and tanks with raw straps. Handbags were carried slightly open, hems left unfinished, yet the tailoring kept things grounded. Satin trousers, trench coats with rounded sleeves, and compact knits layered neatly over oversized shirts.

There were also more personal touches. Some pieces were embroidered with patterns softening Toteme’s usual minimal mood. The combination of worn textures and clear tailoring gave the clothes a lived-in feel without losing shape.

Alongside the popular T bags, models carried slim clutches, top-handle styles, and totes. The finale leaned into a summer mood with knit bodysuits and lace cover-ups, hinting that swimwear could be the next step for the brand.

Toteme continues to grow internationally, with a recent store opening in Beijing, and annual sales reaching €180 million.

The collection is structured, easy, and grounded in a sense of calm. By letting beauty feel slightly undone, Toteme showcased a lineup that feels ready for real life while keeping its classy edge.
