Can’t get enough of dogs? These eight doggo accounts on Instagram will make your day

Sharing these fountains of joy, as the happiness I get from scrolling them is the kind that must be shared to all!

Dogs are the best. They make the most faithful companions, the goofiest buddies, and could turn the worst day into the best with just a toothy and dopey smile. I have three furbabies who are with me 24/7 because I work from home. Still, I can’t get enough of dogs.

When I doomscroll, my algorithm feeds me with dogs, dogs, dogs! And I’m not complaining! Dogs make me—us—happy! On top of this, science-backed benefits come with even just a few minutes scrolling through adorable animal photos, dogs included, of course: reduced stress, increased happiness by triggering the release of dopamine (brain’s “feel-good” chemical) and oxytocin (love hormone), and a restorative break for the brain. Experts agree that sharing pet photos with friends also strengthens relationships, acting like a warm hug that brings people closer.

So allow me to share with you eight of my favorite doggie accounts on Instagram, because the kind of happiness I get from scrolling these pages is the kind that should be shared to all!

1. Loulou the Pug

My OG Insta-favorite dog, Loulou is a pug from the Netherlands who first came to popularity through her photos with her country’s famed flower fields as backdrop. Her furmom, Emma Cornelissen, keeps the feed as vibrant as Loulou’s girly-girl personality—pretty dresses and scenic walks aplenty. After a recent health scare she’s thankfully recovered, and is now a big sister to two-year-old pug Mosy, who is as pretty and popular as Loulou is.

2. Cedric and Edith

Cedric and Edith are the Instagram-famous duo behind @thecedlife, which has 1.7 million followers. They’re known for their poker-faced (non)reaction to owner Joelle Jay’s home-cooked, pup-friendly versions of famous dishes. Their recipes proved so popular they spawned a 2025 cookbook, The Dog’s Table. Joelle’s creative reimagining of iconic food brands— including the doggy-friendly “Jollibark” — is a big part of what makes Cedric and Edith so beloved.

3. Dogs Pooping in Pretty Places

Not much to say here as the Instagram handle says it all. Yep, this is an IG account dedicated to dogs doing their dirty business amid the world’s most beautiful places. See the cutest pooches answering the call of nature literally in nature, from Italy’s dramatic Lake Como and Dolomites to Arizona’s breathtaking Grand Canyon. Can these doggos be any luckier?

4. Oliver the Traveling Shiba

If you love to travel as much as you love dogs, then this account will not only be a boost of dopamine, but will also awaken the wanderlust in you. Oliver is a Shiba Inu who loves the great outdoors—beaches, mountains, deserts, name it, and the handsome pooch has most likely been there. Oliver is fond of the Philippines, too, and has been here a few times, with his latest trip to the country seeing him island-hopping across the Visayas, gallivanting in the rice terraces of the Cordilleras, and braving the unpredictable weather in Batanes!

5. Tuna Melts My Heart

A pioneer in doggie Instagram, Tuna, a Chiweenie (Chihuahua and dachshund mix) with his signature overbite, has amassed 2 million followers since he hit the scene a few years back. While the California native may look like Dobby the Elf most of the time, his adorable set of teeny-weeny teeth (‘teefs’ in doggie speak) and perpetually perplexed look are just too irresistible! The now 15-year-old pooch is also quite the dapper gentleman, always looking sharp and well put together, no matter the occasion.

6. Maya the Polar Bear

Just like Tuna, Maya, the unbelievably fluffy Samoyed, is among Instagram’s most-followed dogs, with a massive 1.9 million followers and counting. I dare you to look at her account and not smile. Maya’s infectious smile will make that an impossible undertaking. She has more fun adventures now, with equally fluffy buddy Michi, a most adorable rescue pup.

7. Kuu and Grandma

This is the account that I visit after an exhausting day. Seeing 11-year-old Maltese Kuu and his 87-year-old obaasan (grandma) go through daily island life in Sado, Japan, is a balm to the soul. Their feed is nothing bombastic. It’s just videos of them sharing home-cooked meals and going on walks as seasons change. But there lies the charm of this account. Gentle, peaceful, and soothing. It’s the kind of life I aspire to have when I grow old: a small house in the countryside, with a doggo or two (or more!) to tag along on our daily afternoon walks.

8. Project Kuna

While this account may not have the curated, flashy feed common in popular Instagram accounts, it’s nonetheless brimming with heartwarming stories of rescued dogs looking for their fur-ever home, as well as of kind-hearted humans who help make this possible. Project Kuna is an NGO that focuses on helping abused and abandoned dogs and cats through fostering and rehoming. Their volunteers have regular pop-ups where they bring the dogs currently under their care who are up for adoption. Who knows, your fur-ever pal might be waiting for you at their next event, so why not swing by?
