Hada Labo’s WhiTEQ takes the multi-ingredient approach within one complex. Alpha arbutin, vitamin C, and niacinamide are joined by vitamin A and Centella asiatica extract in a formula developed to address dark spots and uneven tone.
According to Hada Labo, WhiTEQ has been clinically shown to inhibit dark-spot formation by 56%. The brand also says its upgraded technology penetrates skin three times better and helps retain moisture 3.5 times more effectively. Those figures are Hada Labo’s own clinical claims, but they underline the philosophy driving the reformulation: clarity and comfort can coexist.
Hydration remains the other half of the equation. Hyaluronic acid accompanies WhiTEQ across the collection, staying faithful to Hada Labo’s long-standing approach of keeping skin deeply hydrated while leaving unnecessary extras out.
Humidity changes the hydration equation
Hydrated skin doesn’t necessarily require the richest cream you can find—especially when your morning routine has to survive Philippine weather.
Heat and humidity can make texture almost as important as ingredients, which explains why the upgraded line doesn’t prescribe one moisturizer for everyone.
