Christmas is coming early for Swifties, as the pop icon is releasing not one, but two binge-worthy projects on Disney+ on Dec. 12.
Any Swiftie would agree—there’s no stopping Taylor Swift from taking over the music charts and, this time, even our streaming apps. Hot on the heels of her “The Life of a Showgirl” album release, Swift is back with yet another exciting news: the release of not one, but two binge-worthy content for fans starting this December.
On Oct. 13 (yep, a number very close to TayTay), Swift announced the upcoming release of her new documentary series titled “The End of an Era” on Disney+. The six-episode show, which documents her groundbreaking Eras Tour, will premiere alongside her new concert film, The Final Show, on the streaming app on Dec. 12, 2025.
Swift shared the good news on Good Morning America and on Instagram, alongside a trailer of the docuseries. “It was the End of an Era and we knew it,” she captioned the post. “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety. The Eras Tour | The Final Show, featuring the entire Tortured Poets Department set, and the first two episodes of The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries will be yours December 12th on @disneyplus.”

The docuseries was meanwhile described in Good Morning America as “an intimate look at Taylor’s life as her tour made headlines and thrilled fans around the world.” It shines a spotlight on “performers, family members, and friends” including tour opening acts Gracie Abrams and Sabrina Carpenter, as well as guests Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch. Swifties will be treated to two new episodes per week following the show’s debut on Dec. 12.
The End of an Era is directed by Don Argott, who has directed several documentary series and films such as Rock School, alongside his Batman & Bill co-director Sheena M. Joyce. Swift’s new docuseries is produced by Object & Animal, which is best known for its award-winning documentary film Daughters.

Swift’s upcoming concert film, The Final Show, will meanwhile take Swifties on a deep dive into the Eras Tour finale, which took place at the BC Stadium in Vancouver on Dec. 8, 2024. In a post on X, Swift said that the show will feature her full performance during the three-hour show, including the live set for her album “The Tortured Poets Department,” which was launched in April of that year. Fans who couldn’t fly to Canada for the concert will also get to watch the “surprise songs” Swift performed, particularly the medleys of A Place in This World/New Romantics and Long Live/New Year’s Day.
