Earlier this year, the platform streamed the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards and the 81st Golden Globe Awards.
The 2024 BAFTAs will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 7 pm GMT. Filipino audiences can join in the festivities in real time by tuning into Lionsgate Play on Monday, February 19 at 3 am. The entire program will also be available for streaming on-demand, so everyone has the chance to watch the highlights whenever they want.

The best of the best in film
Oppenheimer is at the forefront with an impressive 13 nominations, followed closely by Poor Things with 11, and both Killers of the Flower Moon and The Zone of Interest with nine each. Other notable films such as Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Maestro, All of Us Strangers, Barbie, and Saltburn also feature prominently in this year’s nominations, showcasing the diverse range of cinematic masterpieces that have graced our screens in the past year.
Hosted by David Tennant
The BAFTAs will be hosted by renowned actor David Tennant, who brings his unique charm and wit to the event. Audiences worldwide can look forward to the actor’s distinctive flair in hosting, which promises to make the evening memorable.
Nominated actors
Eleven out of 23 nominees in the performance categories have received their first BAFTA Film nomination, including Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall and The Zone of Interest), Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer), Fantasia Barrino and Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), Colman Domingo (Rustin), Paul Giamatti, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers), Jacob Elordi (Saltburn), Vivian Oparah (Rye Lane), and Teo Yoo (Past Lives).
Nominated directors
In the Best Director category, four of the six are first-time director nominees: Jonathan Glazer (The Zone of Interest), Andrew Haigh (All of Us Strangers), Alexander Payne (The Holdovers), and Justine Triet (Anatomy of a Fall). None of the director nominees are previous winners in this category.
Three directors in the 2023-2024 BAFTA Breakthroughs are nominated in addition to Vivian Oparah. Raine Allen-Miller (Rye Lane) and Charlotte Regan (Scrapper) in Outstanding British Film, and Ella Glendining (Is Anybody Out There?) in Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer.
