Take it from Taylor Swift—you’ll “never go out of style” with these red lipsticks.
Taylor’s Swift’s Eras tour may have concluded in Vancouver, Canada last Dec. 8, but that doesn’t mean there’s no reason to keep manifesting the gorgeous Swiftie in you through the rest of the year.
Swift has remained stylish in whatever era she’s in, and one thing that has noticeably stuck with her in the last decade is her red hot lipstick.

Red lipstick has become a signature part of the global pop icon’s image since 2009, when makeup artist Gucci Westman suggested that she wear one for a Gucci photo shoot. Tay-Tay has since channeled her love for the striking, confidence-boosting stick in various ways—from including it in songs like I Did Something Bad and Wildest Dreams to wearing it while watching her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in his football games.
Swift used her iconic red hot lippie during the Grammys, 2024 Super Bowl, and in most of the stops of her phenomenal Eras tour. Needless to say, the best way to cop Swift’s style is through her red lipstick. And, of course, there’s no better time to do so than this holiday season, when everyone’s sparkly and glitzy in their outfits.

Just like Swift’s sequin flapper dresses, bejeweled bodysuits, or knee-high crystal boots, red hot lipstick can “make the whole place shimmer” when you’re out at parties or even family get-togethers. That’s why we’ve listed the red lipsticks associated with Swift’s bold looks and where you can cop them for a magical makeup this season, or just to show everyone that you “never go out of style.”

Pat McGrath Labs LiquiLUST in Elson 4

Pat McGrath Labs is the makeup brand that has been making Swifties “go mad” since 2022. It was in that year that makeup artist Dame Patricia McGarth revealed that her namesake brand’s LiquiLUST Legendary Matte Lipstick in Elson 4 was what she used on Swift for her Bejeweled music video and 2022 Video Music Awards look.
McGrath let Swifties in on the secret during an interview with Elle UK that year. Since then, the shade has remained out of stock, with Swifties scooping every tube they could get on the market. It wasn’t a surprise, though, especially because the 14-time Grammy Award winner was spotted giving Kelce a smooch and performing for three hours in her Eras tour using the same lipstick.
According to the makeup label, the liquid lipstick in Elson 4 drenches the lips with an “intensely saturated color” that lasts for up to 12 hours “without smudging and transferring.” It has a lightweight, smooth, and “ultra-velvety finish” enhanced by a propriety stretch effect.
Last week, Pat McGrath’s lipstick to die for finally came back in stock but flew off the shelves right away. If you want to cop the same shade in liquid tube (P2,100) or creamy matte stick (P2,400) as soon as they are available online, make sure to check Pat McGrath’s website from time to time. Otherwise, you can also opt for other Swift-approved red lipsticks, such as the Mac Ruby Woo, Nars The Original Lipstick in Morocco, Nars Powermatte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl, and Chanel Rouge Allure in Pirate.
Mac Ruby Woo

Besides Pat McGrath’s Elson 4 lippie, it was Mac Cosmetics’ Ruby Woo that gave the global superstar a long-lasting “electric touch.” The singer revealed in a 2015 interview with People that she has been wearing the shade around since she learned of it that year.
“I recently discovered Ruby Woo by Mac, which I think everyone knows is a staple. I was the last person to discover it,” Swift recounted. It was, in fact, the product responsible for making Mac famous, having been used by other celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Rihanna.
What makes Mac Ruby Woo universal is that not only does it enhance anyone’s lips with the “reddest red,” but it also has a hint of blue that creates the perfect balance of warm and cool. The product also gives off a completely matte finish for up to eight hours.
You can get it for P1,350 on Rustan’s The Beauty Source website and for P1,565 on cosmeticsnow.ph.
Nars The Original Lipstick in Morocco

Swift’s love for red lipsticks transcends time and brands, with the inclusion of Nars’ The Original Lipstick in Morocco on her rotation. It was announced as one of the pop star’s go-to lippies by her makeup artist Lorrie Turk in her Instagram Story last Oct. 1.
On her Story, Turk shared a photo of Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards with the caption, “So many people asking about this lipstick that Taylor wears all the time.” On the next slide, she shared another photo of Swift taken from a Sept. 5 Chiefs game and wrote, “It’s Nars Morocco Lipstick. She’s worn it for years.”
The lipstick comes in a cinnamon-red shade and a matte, velvety finish. Its long-lasting color stays on the lips for up to 10 hours without bleeding and feathering. Each stick retails for $26 on Nars’ website. It also comes in the Air Matte formula for $19.60 on the Nars website and for P1,600 on the website of local beauty store Look At Me.

Nars Powermatte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl

Further proving that Swift is also a Nars girl is her fondness of the brand’s Powermatte Lip Pencil, particularly in the Dragon Girl shade. The lipstick was first identified with the singer when she posted a photo of her and American model Karlie Kloss as they were getting ready for the Met Gala way back in 2014.
In the photo, Swift was spotted using the popular hue from Nars, which she later confirmed in an interview with MTV News. “One that really can’t go wrong is Dragon Girl by Nars,” she told the outlet.
According to the cosmetics brand, the lip pencil has a “transformative cream-to-matte texture” that provides a bold, matte finish. Its “fully loaded” matte lip formula is meanwhile designed to keep your lips plumped up for 12 long hours. It is available for P1,900 on Rustan’s website.
Chanel Rouge Allure in Pirate

Last but not the least in the ongoing list of Swift-approved red lipsticks is Chanel’s Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Color in the Pirate shade. The self-made billionaire used the luxe lippie for the cover of InStyle in November 2013. Her red makeup look is a nod to her Red era, but everything about the cover spoke of 1989.
The vibrant lipstick is described by Chanel as one that has “ultrafine, melt-away, second-skin-like texture and a palette of intense shade.” The France-made product promises to leave you with “deep, radiant, and satiny color” even from the first stroke. It retails for P2,984 on Zalora and for P2,899 on the Nordstrom website.
