Calvin Klein sharpens minimalism with a playful twist for S/S 2026

It kept the house’s signature intact but hinted at more playful seasons ahead.

Calvin Klein returned to New York Fashion Week with its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, shown at the Brant Foundation gallery in downtown Manhattan. The show kept the brand’s clean, simple style but also added playful details that made the clothes feel more relaxed and fresh.

The suits were the highlight of the runway with models walking out in sharp blazers and trousers in gray, white, and blue. Some suits were a little oversized, others more fitted, but all felt timeless. Then came a glossy pink suit that stood out right away, breaking the usual Calvin Klein neutral palette.

There were flowing caftans, calf-length dresses, and robe-like gowns that wrapped loosely around the body. A caramel fringe dress moved beautifully as it floated down the runway, while its leather counterpart showed how a simple change in fabric could completely shift a look. Even a striped robe that looked casual turned out to be made of finely cut leather.

The collection also had more color than usual. Alongside the house’s signature neutrals came bubblegum pink, crimson jeans, green tops, and a butter-yellow slip dress that looked just as right for daytime errands as it will for a late-night dinner.

Of course, Calvin Klein’s famous underwear wasn’t left out. The iconic logo waistband appeared throughout the show, peeking out from trousers, wrapped around leggings, and even layered and transformed into a seamless woven dress. Jackets were cut low to reveal bras underneath, and slip dresses kept the collection rooted in the brand’s signature minimalism.

The details felt very New York with models carrying keychains; bags had worn-in edges; and shoes ranged from sandals to moccasins with sneaker soles. At the same time, more pieces like draped gowns, organza pompoms, and mismatched suits walked the runway.

The audience included campaign faces Rosalía and BTS’s Jungkook, along with Solange Knowles, Lily Collins, and Christopher Briney, who watched as the collection showed its range.

It really was minimalism with a twist—a style the brand has been championing for years, but this time, with clothes that kept the house’s signature intact and hinted at more playful seasons ahead.
