Fendi marks ‘Emily in Paris’ season five with a playful capsule collection

The Italian fashion house has released a limited-edition handbag capsule in celebration of the fifth season of Emily in Paris, which premiered globally on Netflix last December 18.

The capsule includes three handbags: two Baguette bags and one Peekaboo. The styles are released in two contrasting palettes, one in brown and pink, the other in mint green. Prices are set at $4,950 for the Baguette and $7,700 for the Peekaboo.

The timing of the release reflects the direction of the new season, which shifts part of the story from Paris to Rome. In several episodes, Emily Cooper, portrayed by Lily Collins, is seen moving through the city at key Fendi locations, including the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana and the brand’s flagship Palazzo Fendi. The brand has also appeared over the course of the series.

Fendi’s connection to Emily in Paris extends beyond the screen. The brand has also appeared in Lily Collins’ promotional wardrobe.

While promoting the new season, Collins wore an archival Fendi look during a December 9 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She wore a black slip dress from Fendi’s fall 1997 collection, originally designed by Karl Lagerfeld, and styled it with black boots and a red Fendi bag. Collins also carried a purple Fendi bag during a Good Morning America appearance the next day, extending the brand’s visibility from the series to its off-screen promotions.
