Hermès men’s S/S26 is a masterclass on the power of refinement

Artistic director Véronique Nichanian’s new capsule serves as a masterclass on quiet strength, deep craft, and unmatched luxury.

No other brand can define the prestige that comes with understated elegance quite like Hermès. Now the world’s most valuable luxury brand, Hermès has remained the symbol of true luxury—understated sophistication, high-quality craftsmanship, and exclusivity. Its reputation as one of the most coveted brands in the world is proof that what’s elegant, respected, and desired doesn’t have to be flashy or ostentatious.

The French house’s Spring/Summer 2026 menswear collection is yet another testament to the label’s ethos of authenticity. Crafted with the creative vision of artistic director Véronique Nichanian, the new capsule serves as a masterclass on quiet strength, deep craft, and unmatched luxury.

Every part of the show spoke the luxury of simplicity and ease. Models marched on a stripped-down runway at the Palais d’léna in Paris, furnished with nothing but towering mirrors. It was the capsule—an effortlessly confident wardrobe for today’s relaxed men—that stood as the main and only attraction in the exhibition held on July 28.

Nichanian reinvented classic Hermès codes with modern touches. Silhouettes are relaxed and refined, designed for a life that delights and cozies up in understated elegance. It featured airy tops and leather pieces—bomber jackets, T-shirts, vests, and trousers—that are crafted from woven leather and delicately ventilated to allow movement in the warm weather.

Shortened jackets, high-waisted trousers, striped overshirts, sleeveless shirts and knit vests are a reminder that true luxury is not about flash, but touch. Materials like cashmere, fine leather, featherlight silks, and hammered satin moved fluidly, emphasizing that luxury should feel like a second skin—it should feel intuitive and comfortable, almost like a natural extension of one’s self.

The collection’s color palette is a lesson on subtlety. Coffee, taupe, beige, and slate offer a sense of order when the rest of the fashion world is busy trying to stand out. Playful touches found in zigzag motifs and glints of silver hardware were Nichanian’s way of keeping things light rather than stiff.

Accessories echoed the motif of quiet playfulness for any type of summer. There were leather-and-rope sandals for the hot weather and ankle boots in glossy leather or crocodile skin for chilly summers. Oversized bags printed with monkey motifs suggested that style should be a balance of seriousness and wit. Other bags are roomy and matched the collection’s browns and beiges, while silk bandanas with fringe completed several outfits.
