Spell “Gabbana” correctly. She’s in the front row.
No one expected fashion week to turn into a movie scene but that’s exactly what happened at Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2026 show in Milan over the weekend.
All right, everyone, gird your loins!

Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci made a surprise appearance, fully in character as The Devil Wears Prada’s Miranda Priestly and Nigel Kipling. They arrived fashionably late, took their front row seats, and stayed in character the entire show.
Sitting across from them was none other than Anna Wintour. And behind them was actress Simone Ashley, rumored to play Miranda’s new assistant in the upcoming sequel. Yes, filming was happening and yes, the cameras were rolling.

After the show, Streep and Wintour greeted each other backstage. Both wearing dark sunglasses, the two shared a hug and a laugh, which was shared on British Vogue’s official Instagram. For a brief moment, the woman who inspired The Devil Wears Prada and the actress who played her stood side by side—a crossover we never knew we needed.

The collection
As for the clothes, PJ Obsession focused on transforming pajamas into daywear. Dolce & Gabbana took classic men’s-style pajama sets like button-down shirts, drawstring trousers and reworked them with tailoring, embellishment, and layering.

Some were made from crisp materials in pale blue and soft neutrals, styled with bralettes, corsets, or lace underwear. Others came in silk chiffon or satin, adding a more formal, evening feel. Stripes ran throughout the collection, adding to the sleepwear theme.
Florals, of course, made an appearance because what’s a spring collection without them? But Dolce & Gabbana leaned into the irony. Instead of soft, forgettable prints, they delivered florals in full 3D: appliqués, embroidery, sequins, crystals. It felt like a direct nod to that line: “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” Only this time, the joke was on us.

Leopard print, corsetry, and lace were present and adapted to looser silhouettes. One model wore a bustier under a striped pajama shirt; another had a corset over a ribbed tank.

Out of 66 looks, nearly half included faux fur, continuing the brand’s fur-free policy. Coats came oversized and plush, with standout versions in powder pink and leopard. Slippers and slides were fur-lined, styled with sheer pieces and crystal details. Handbags came in glossy leather, in both mini and oversized versions.

And if you’re wondering what Miranda’s final verdict was? She stayed for the full show. That alone says enough.
