Pajamas take centerstage in Dolce and Gabbana’s 2026 menswear collection

The collection subverts traditional notions of masculinity while showing that the humble pajamas can be posh and stylish, too.

Pajamas and wrinkled comfort wear were the stars of Dolce & Gabbana’s 2026 spring/summer menswear capsule, previewed during Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, June 21.

Titled “Pajama Boys,” the Italian luxury fashion house founded by namesakes Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, subverted traditional notions of masculinity—bold, serious, macho—and redefined it by highlighting (and elevating) the humble pajama in all its playfulness and softness.

L’Officiel notes that more than just a gimmick, the choice to highlight the pajamas, is a “thoughtful nod to the house’s ‘90s archives and enduring DNA.” Sure, the looks were relaxed, wrinkly even, but each ensemble features Dolce & Gabbana’s impeccable tailoring, a hallmark of the 40-year-old label.

The capsule reflects a noticeable shift toward preference for comfort, without sacrificing style. As Dolce & Gabbana proves in this collection, pajamas can be comfy and chic, sexy and stylish all at the same time. Oh, you can wear them beyond the bedroom, too—perhaps to the office or to an intimate candlelit dinner.

Most of the pieces come in striped jacquard, and set in a muted palette of earth tones, neutrals, and light hues of blue, green, and pink. There are, however, a few that come in bolder designs and colors, like thrown-on jackets in animal prints, and pajamas with intricate floral embroidery. And, yes, pajamas were also paired with fur and trench coats for that added dramatic flair.

The accessories complemented the collection’s laid-back aesthetic. Dolce & Gabbana’s new Vittoria bags made an appearance, as well as roomy Sicily totes. The footwear—sneakers, slippers, and slides—looks just as comfortable with their minimalist, straightforward design. There were also brooches, collar pins, colored stone necklaces, and even rosaries, that added weight and texture to an otherwise understated collection.

And because it’s summer in Milan, Dolce & Gabbana thought it a splendid idea to bring the show outside for the crowd to behold and appreciate, with the models taking the looks on a full lap outside the Metropol theater, the brand’s multi-functional space in the heart of the city. Even in the intense Milanese heat the collection looked comfortable and stylish.

Inside the theater, the show’s guest list boasted A-listers from entertainment and sports. Spotted on the front row were actors Theo James, Lucien Laviscount, Evan Mock, Michele Morrone, Giancarlo Commare, and Jung Hae-in. Gabe Vincent and Jaren Jackson Jr. of the NBA were also in attendance.
