Kaia Gerber, Adut Akech, Vittoria Ceretti, and even Burton’s own team star in this candid, celebratory debut.
Sarah Burton made her runway debut for Givenchy in March with the Fall/Winter ready-to-wear collection, marking her first full season as the brand’s creative director. The collection nodded to Givenchy’s early archives. Now, months later, she’s unveiled her first mainline campaign for the house.
This isn’t her first work for Givenchy overall, but it’s the first full creative campaign under her direction. For the Winter 2025 visuals, she brings together power women, including Kaia Gerber, Adut Akech, and Vittoria Ceretti. The result is stripped back, intimate, and rooted in Burton’s ongoing focus: real women, real connection, and the power of collaboration.
In an interview with WWD, Burton explained the inspiration behind the shoot: “The beauty of all women inspires me, including my team,” she said. “I wanted to capture the brilliant women I work with amongst the cast, real moments with everyone working together.”
Alongside fashion’s top names, the campaign also features the women who’ve helped shape Burton’s vision behind the scenes. Her longtime stylist Camilla Nickerson and makeup artist Lucia Pieroni both appear in the shoot dressed in all black, mid-laugh, and visibly comfortable in their element. Even Collier Schorr, the campaign’s photographer, joins them in front of the lens for one shot.

Pieroni, who’s spent most of her career behind the camera, admitted the experience was nerve-wracking. “To be honest, I was petrified,” she told WWD. “I’ve lived my entire professional life behind the lens, and my initial reaction was abject terror. But I knew I was in the hands of a great team of women. Collier, Sarah, and Camilla made it a really fun experience. We were in it together.”
Gerber in a crystal-embellished top, Ceretti in a sculptural vintage dress, Liu Wen in a puffy leather jacket. There’s no hard posing, just women moving, talking, gesturing, and showing up as themselves.

Burton was officially appointed as Givenchy’s creative director in July 2024. The announcement marked a major moment not just for the brand (she became only the second woman to hold the role) but also for fashion at large. “It is a great honor to be joining the beautiful house of Givenchy. It is a jewel,” Burton told WWD. “I’m so excited to be able to write the next chapter in the story of this iconic house and to bring to Givenchy my own vision, sensibility, and beliefs.”
