Part of the ‘Pashmy Project,’ the collection highlights soft, silky, and lightweight leathers reminiscent of pashmina.
Tod’s is an icon of Italian design, and the Marche-based luxury fashion house is emblematic of timeless elegance, creativity, and savoir-faire marked with uncompromising artisanal quality. All these hallmarks are on full display in its Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
Launched last season, Tod’s focused its men’s fall line on the “Pashmy Project,” a nod to the luxuriousness and comfort of pashmina. Through the collection, the brand celebrates timeless, understated style, the excellence of Italian craftsmanship, and the relentless pursuit of the finest materials.

Creative director Matteo Tamburini shares that he wants to “insist on the Pashmy, defining our approach and shaping all our products, from apparel to footwear and bags.” The result is a collection that highlights soft, silky, and lightweight leathers. Each creation pays homage to the quintessential Italian lifestyle, one that’s defined by elegance, impeccable quality, and a passion for well-made things.
Tamburini divided the project in two: using either suede or a version of super-light nappa leather, as seen in the scene-stealing striking bombers and field and shirt jackets, as well as in its footwear and bags. Emphasizing the hides is a palette marked by natural earth tones, from burnt sienna to sand. “We wanted to work on the materials, stimulating a sensory experience that impacts sight and touch,” said Tamburini.
The collection was again unveiled at Villa Necchi Campiglio, a historic residence in Milan built in the early to mid-1930s and designed by architect Piero Portaluppi. The villa also served as an inspiration for the collection, as well as Italian architect and industrial designer Gio Ponti and German artist Joseph Beuys. These guideposts helped Tamburini create garments and accessories that are “aesthetically pleasing but functional at the same time, which is what Tod’s, and we believe men, want.”

The iconic Tod’s Gommino takes center stage in footwear, crafted from fine suedes, supple nappa leathers, and polished hides. Alongside are the classic Gommino and the Bubble variation. The collection also introduces the City Gommino with a fresh, contemporary silhouette and the W.G., available as an ankle boot, desert boot, and loafer. Rounding out Tod’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, and a standout we daresay, are the oversized Di Bag Folio and a multi-pocket trekking backpack.
Tod’s Group chairman Diego Della Valle was described in an article on on Women’s Wear Daily as having walked around Villa Necchi Campiglio with a sharp eye, even straightening out the loafers on display, while reminding the artisans how to carefully touch the hides.
“This is what the world envies, it’s the backbone of our country,” Della Valle said, as quoted in the article. “Brands should become aware that people want things well done at the right price and we can’t betray their trust.”
