It includes 132 looks designed to move across day, night, and every moment in between.
Instead of a show, Valentino’s Resort 2026 collection arrives on a bed. Literally. The lookbook has models scattered across quilted pink satin, scrolling on their phone, flipping through books, lying with breakfast in bed. It’s soft and stripped of spectacle (creative director Alessandro Michele is normally big on shows.) There’s no dramatic setting this time, just a kind of intimacy that puts the clothes in full view.

The opening look is a red minidress that feels like a nod to Garavani’s archives. Bows show up frequently too, scattered across hems, shoes, and sleeves. The palette is gentle but not dull. Pastels, classic black-and-white, with signature hits of Valentino red.

There’s tailoring too, trimmed down and a little sharper. Petite jackets with cinched waists sit over flared trousers or oversized Bermuda shorts that fall like skirts. Dresses range from structured pieces with flared, A-line shapes to light, floral-printed gowns. There’s still embellishment, but it’s more subtle. Vests, feathers, and sequins, are balanced by simpler looks in soft pastels and deep reds.

The menswear holds the same balance. There are robe coats, piped cardigans, wide trousers, soft knits. Some looks lean into texture while others stay plain. The mood is gentle, a little sleepy even. In one frame, a model lies back in a cat-print sweater. In another, he’s half-slouched in an oversized suit.

Without a runway or concept to compete with, the collection turned out to be intimate yet still striking. Michele’s tendencies are still present: the layers, embroidery, nostalgia, but this time, but they’re a little tamer, a little lighter.
The full Valentino Resort 2026 collection includes 132 looks (75 womenswear and 57 menswear) designed to move across day, night, and every moment in between. It’s now available to view on Valentino’s official site and select showrooms.
