Sleek and stylish Year of the Snake couture collections slay in 2025

Slither in style with these striking collections from Dior, Prada, Tory Burch, and more.

With every new year comes a myriad of opportunities to attract good luck and fortune, but what makes this Lunar New Year especially interesting? It’s bound to ooze style and savageness.

2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake based on the Chinese zodiac, and when it comes to fashion, snakes and related patterns have always been the cheat code for style. Snakes exude intelligence, mystery, and charm, especially with their skin coming in many colors and patterns, making it a design staple for brands.

As we celebrate the Year of the Snake beginning Jan. 29, fashion will be all about embracing elegance and the spirit of the wild. It’s the year when we celebrate the animal’s bold and striking aesthetic with pieces that command attention and, at the same time, exude playfulness.

In this article, The POST rounds up some of the most covetable snake-inspired designer collections to keep you slaying in 2025. Read on to see how these new capsules are too good not to let them slither into your closets.

Dior

Dior is ringing in the Lunar New Year with a new collection designed to bedazzle your streetwear ensembles. Crafted by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, the new capsule blends the magic of the celestial world and the captivating darkness of snakes.

At its core is the Dior Astral motif inspired by Christian Dior’s lifelong fascination with the stars. It is interpreted in two ways: The first variation pays homage to the Serpens constellation with an elegant palette of gold and white. The second features a cascade of shimmering stars, sprinkling magic on dresses, jackets, and T-shirts, as well as on Dior’s iconic pieces like the Lady D-Lite bag, D-connect sneakers, and D-Smash visor.

If you love accessories, prepare to be venomized with the collection’s necklaces, bracelets, and earrings formed like celestial snakes and bedecked with gold accents.

Prada

While the Year of the Snake coils around bold fashion, 2025 is yet another year to embrace the beauty of minimalism. This is according to Prada, which is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a capsule that reflects the brand’s penchant for clean lines, minimalism, and understated elegance.

Titled “We, The Snake,” Prada’s Lunar New Year collection features ready-to-wear clothing—from pleated skirts to wool pants and cotton trench coats—in a sophisticated, minimalist style with a neutral palette of black, gray, brown, beige, and blue. The collection caters to both men and women, and includes an exclusive selection of accessories such as a leather top-handle cubic bag with golden hardware, a shoulder bag with removable tricks, as well as soft bags in a new green hue for the gents.

The collection was launched alongside Prada’s “We, The Snake” campaign featuring the brand’s Chinese ambassadors, including celebrities Jia Ling, Li Xian, Ma Long, Ma Yili, and Tang Shuyu; as well as artists Peng Wei and Zhang Enli. Prada said the campaign is “a visual representation of the concept of community” and transforms the snake, which is typically perceived as an archetype of individualism, into “a figure devoted to sharing.”

Tory Burch

Tory Burch’s Lunar New Year collection is here to captivate those who want to upgrade their wardrobe with snake-inspired pieces that are stylish yet classic. The lineup features the American luxury brand’s sophisticated staples adorned with snake motifs in metal clasps, bag handles, and embroideries on knitwear.

Among the must-haves designed to bring you “luck, wisdom, and prosperity” this year is the small Eleanor Spazzolato bag with a crystal-embellished serpent on the metal clasp of the bag. For a bold look, opt for the mini satin totes with snakeskin or diamond-studded serpent handles. There’s also the limited-edition Kendra cardigan adorned with multicolored crystals that form the shape of a serpent.

Rings, necklaces, and earrings with the same snake motif are also seen throughout the collection. This limited-edition collection is available in boutiques and Tory Burch web stores across Asia, North America, and Europe.

Kenzo

Playful elegance is the main theme of the Year of the Snake, and Kenzo’s Lunar New Year collection is here to give you a good bite of the fun. Designed for both men and women, Kenzo’s Year of the Snake collection includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, cardigans, and joggers featuring artful graphics where Kenzo’s tiger and signature Boke flower meet the striking snake.

The most impressive design comes from a black sweatshirt embroidered with an image that depicts an entangled tiger and snake framed by “Kenzo Paris” in golden threads. The Kenzo Lunar New Year 2025 collection also features a snake-inspired version of Kenzo’s Boke flower displayed beautifully on a duo-tone cardigan, red wool sweater, and the collection’s jewelry. It is available on the brand’s web store and select boutiques worldwide.

Kate Spade

Snakes are considered works of art themselves. Mix them with Kate Spade’s lovely psychedelic bags, and the result is a collection of eye-catching pieces you’d want to show off during your Lunar New Year festivities and beyond.

Kate Spade’s Year of the Snake collection features an embroidery of snake-like scales and floral motifs bursting with bold colors and playful details, which altogether make its Manhattan tote, Sammy Flap crossbody, and cozy sweater a must-have for any fashionista this season. Adding a touch of fierce femininity to every outfit are the Shining snake earrings and ring that sparkle with crystal accents. The collection is available in Kate Spade boutiques and web stores worldwide.

Tumi

Luxury luggage brand Tumi is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a new bag collection that’s designed to redefine stylish travel.

The limited-edition bags—a reimagined take on Tumi’s Alpha Bravo and Voyageur collections—are all adorned with gold calligraphic strokes that embody the vibrancy, sleekness, and sophistication of the snake. From afar, it’s as if the snake is slithering through the fabric of the bag, “gracing it with the qualities of wisdom and intelligence,” says Tumi.

Aside from providing a striking contrast with the collection’s dark palette, the zodiac sign is interpreted in gold to signify good luck, wealth, and prosperity, making the bag a festive one for any traveler. Highlights include the Navigation Backpack, Compass Crossbody, Platoon Sling, Retreat Tote, and Packable Backpack that are all adorned with snake-shaped luggage tags. The collection is available in Tumi stores and online at Tumi.com.
