From March 13 to 15, the Ortigas hotel is hosting a Wellness Weekend in celebration of World Sleep Day. Meditation sessions above the skyline, sound baths by the pool, breathwork classes, and a pop-up market filled with wellness brands and guilt-free treats.
The event brings together wellness practitioners, lifestyle brands, and guided experiences designed to help people reset, something many city dwellers (like us) probably need after another long workweek in Metro Manila.

A weekend designed around rest and recovery
The three-day lineup leans into one core idea, and that is rest is not a luxury, it’s essential. On March 13, guests staying at the hotel can try the Sonic Reset, a 15-minute sound-led meditation experience set against sweeping views of the city. The session uses immersive playlists played through Dyson’s OnTrac headphones, creating a pocket of calm above the Ortigas skyline.



That same night, hotel guests also receive a Sleep Infusion Turndown, complete with lavender balm, meditation guides, and the hotel’s signature Heavenly Bed setup, all designed to help you get a deeper night’s sleep.
Breathwork, sleep talks, and a floating sound bath
Saturday’s schedule dives deeper into wellness practices. A breathwork and somatic movement session led by meditation guide Valeriya Netesa of SAHA Breath combines guided breathing with a tea ceremony meant to release stress and restore balance.

Later in the afternoon, Dr. Jimmy Chang, president of the Philippine Society of Sleep Medicine, hosts a talk on how sleep affects cognitive health, physical recovery, and daily performance. The session also offers practical tips for improving sleep quality, something many people quietly struggle with. This one is exclusive to guests only.
The evening wraps with a Floating Soundbath by the pool, where participants lie back and listen to the vibrations of crystal singing bowls, chimes, and handpan instruments while floating in water. A slow Sunday with qigong and sunset meditation
Sunday leans into gentle movement and mindfulness. The morning starts with a qigong class, an ancient Chinese practice that combines slow movement and breathing to cultivate energy and calm the nervous system. Book a slot here



Later in the day, actress and wellness advocate Maxene Magalona leads a sunset yoga and meditation session at Aire 32 on the hotel’s top floor. The class runs just as the city lights begin to flicker on an atmospheric way to close the weekend. Book here.

Even if you skip the classes, the Wellness Market running throughout the weekend is worth checking out. The pop-up gathers homegrown brands selling everything from vegan desserts and kombucha to activewear, low-carb baked goods, and eco-friendly pantry staples.
There will be ooths from brands like Matcha Bar, Earth Desserts, Brye & Brew, Croft Bulk Foods, Lotus Activewear, and Keto Filipino Bakeshop.












Entrance is free, and shoppers who spend at least P500 at participating brands get a chance to win an overnight stay at The Westin Manila.
An excuse to slow down for a bit
