The free workshop returns, bigger and better than ever, in a new venue: Power Mac Spotlight in Makati.
Look everywhere on social media, and you’ll see that everyone can be creative. We are, after all, in the 21st century, where digital art software, video editing apps, collaborative platforms—not to mention AI-powered tools—abound.
Creativity is a skill that can be developed, and having the right tools will help you streamline the process. If you’re a Mac or iPad user, chances are, you might be at an advantage. The key is knowing how to maximize everything your gadget has to offer.
That is why premier Apple partner Power Mac is bringing back its workshop series, “Masterclass: Create Like a Pro,” on July 12. Since its inception in 2024, the hands-on event has been providing professional creatives and casual art enthusiasts alike with an opportunity to boost their skills with the top-notch performance and versatility of Apple’s Mac laptops and iPad tablets.
It promises a dynamic and immersive learning experience, absolutely free for all attendees. “If you’ve ever dreamed of leveling up your craft and getting the most out of your Mac and iPad, now’s the opportune time. We gathered some of the best creative minds in the country for an afternoon of free training and inspiration, packed with real creative power,” said PMC director for Marketing and Product Management Joey Alvarez.

All-inclusive event in a bigger venue
For the uninitiated, last year’s Power Mac Masterclass was held in chapters in three of its stores across Metro Manila. This year, though, the premium Apple reseller is taking things up a notch by holding a large-scale event in a bigger venue: the Power Mac Center Spotlight in Circuit Makati.
The performing arts theater can accommodate up to 300 people and has been the venue of several performances, concerts, and exhibits since it was launched in 2015. So, for this year, expect to get your creative juices flowing at an event that is the biggest of its kind by far.
It’s starkly different from last year’s program, where Power Mac held three different classes in its branches in SM City North EDSA, Trinoma, and Power Plant Mall, from October to December. Back then, the on-site classes only accommodated a maximum of 20 students on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who didn’t make it to the list attended the classes in virtual rooms with a maximum capacity of 30 per session.

Learn from the pros
Power Mac’s masterclass this year will feature four industry-leading creatives: illustrator Mady Marcelino (Hey Mady!), photographer Jiggie Alejandrino, concert director and entrepreneur Paolo Valenciano, and actress and beauty queen Michelle Dee.
Considered experts in their industry, these creative personalities will share their insights, workflows, and real-world experiences using Mac and iPad during the event. Participants, meanwhile, can expect to experience how Apple’s technology fuels creative workflow in different professional fields.
Like last year, Power Mac curated a list of speakers from differing fields so that “customers can discover what they want out of life or their careers through the different perspectives of our speakers,” Alvarez said about the PMC Masterclass 2024. “These are personalities who journey with the Mac and iPad and continue to achieve great success,” he added.

Power Mac’s workshop series last year was inaugurated by brand filmmaker Sid Maderazo and photographer Artu Nepomoceno. Maderazo gave students a deep dive into his process of creating a TV commercial, while Nepomuceno shared his experiences in photography. Both guided attendees on how to make the best use of their Mac to effectively bring their visions to life.
Now that Power Mac’s masterclass is set to be held as one big event at a larger venue, participants should expect nothing less than last year’s insightful workshop.
Enjoy exclusive offers
Besides beefing up your creativity, Power Mac’s masterclass is giving away exclusive offers for you to enjoy at the event. Participants will be given a P500-off voucher on all Mac and iPad devices, which may be used in conjunction with other ongoing promotions. What’s more, you can avail of a 15% discount on all products from the event’s partner brands like Belkin, Logitech, and PanzerGlass.
The free workshop begins at 1 pm, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own Mac or iPad to fully engage in the experience. Secure your slot by registering at https://tally.so/r/w8gEOo.
