More than pasalubong: This DTI fair proves Filipino products are ready for a global rise

From handcrafted heritage to flavorful favorites, the DTI Bagong Pilipinas National Exporters’ Fair 2026 explores the products, people, and potential power of Philippine exports.

Walk into the world of the DTI Bagong Pilipinas National Exporters’ Fair 2026 and one thing becomes overwhelmingly true: local brands have long outgrown the stereotypes of ordinary souvenir shops and airport shelves. This time, they are sophisticated, scalable, and steadily securing space in homes, hotels, and high streets.

Displayed at Megatrade Halls 1 to 3 of SM Megamall, the five-day event gathers 200+ exporters and export-ready enterprises under one umbrella, creating a sweeping snapshot of the country’s manufacturing muscle and creative capacity. From heritage handicrafts to high-value health products, the festival proudly demonstrates that “Made in the Philippines” is now taking pride across the international arena.

DTI Secretary Cristina A. Roque

Spearheaded by Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Cristina A. Roque, the fair surfaces at a pivotal period for Philippine exporters. International trade is increasingly variable and volatile, supply chains continue to shift, and global competition grows denser by the day. Rather than retreat from uncertainty, the DTI unwaveringly encourages homegrown enterprises to rethink markets, refine products, and reach premium audiences through adaptive reinvention and export readiness.

Beyond the themed booths, however, the real attraction rests in the sheer variety of proudly Filipino products visible throughout the show’s exhibition halls. Examples range from a roster of heritage handicrafts and handcrafted home décor to functional food, drink finds, and future-smart mobility solutions.

Collectively, traditional craftsmanship meets modern manufacturing as artisan home décor, handwoven accessories and garments made from grass fibers, themed furnishings, timeless indigenous textiles, and skillfully produced banig pieces share the floor with beauty and fashion heavyweights, household essentials, and even a trailblazing electric tricycle.

Leading brands like Katinko, Casino Alcohol, Biorderm, and Pioneer Adhesives exhibit alongside emerging brands and businesses, epitomizing an export landscape where heritage lines and elevated goods grow side by side.

The food and beverage finds are also equally appealing. Guests can gleefully browse local brews, crafted chocolates infused with Filipino ingredients, certified Sagada coffee, tropical fruit treats, coconut-, honey-, and tuba-based beverages, rice brews, rice varieties, value-added vinegar and artisan condiments, mushroom-made chicharon, camote chips, coconut cookies, ready-to-enjoy recipes such as champorado and ginataang mais, as well as snacks, Filipino-inspired favorites, seasonings, sauces, and dry rubs. Dedicated sections highlighting Halal showcases, coconut innovations, and culinary export stars such as ube, pili, and Calamansi emphasize the country’s growing global competitiveness.

Apart from the showcase, the DTI Bagong Pilipinas National Exporters’ Fair 2026 also serves as a platform for knowledge-sharing, business matching, branding, and industry networking through Usapang Exports, product features, and pitching activities anchored on the theme “Navigating Uncertainties and Seizing Opportunities.”

The trade fair and business fest, which aligns with the agency’s Tatak Pinoy Seal initiative promoting quality Philippine products, is formally presented and inaugurated by DTI Secretary Cristina A. Roque, PHILEXPORT officials, business leaders, and leading stakeholders in the industry.

The fair runs until July 26 at Megatrade Halls 1 to 3 of SM Megamall. Registration for the festival is free.
