Where to shop vintage in Manila

Buying pre-loved means giving clothes and other finds another chance to be used, rather than letting them end up in landfills.

Some things are worth choosing again. Take a dress that has already been to a few good parties and a vintage bag that has outlasted several trends. Both still have plenty of life left in them.

Carrie Bradshaw said it best on Sex and the City: “I like my money right where I can see it…hanging in my closet.” For her, a wardrobe was an investment worth making—and keeping.

That idea takes on a new meaning when you shop secondhand. It offers a more practical alternative to a fashion industry built around producing more, wearing less, and constantly buying the next thing.

Trends come and go but well-made pieces can stay in rotation for years.

With the rising cost of living, spending on new clothes isn’t always easy to justify. At the same time, secondhand shopping has moved beyond bargain hunting. Selling and buying pre-loved pieces have become part of how people approach their wardrobes, making room for more considered purchases without giving up personal style.

Manila has embraced the shift, too. Its street style scene continues to grow, along with a vintage and thrift scene offering everything from standout fashion finds to collectibles and homeware. Whether you’re looking to refresh your wardrobe or find something with a little history, these shops make a compelling case for giving good things another life.

This curated second-hand store is run by the ladies of Zonta Makati and Environs, and every find here carries a purpose. Members donate pieces, and the proceeds help women who are victims of violence. What began as a series of pop-ups now has a permanent home inside Spatio. Expect a mix of fashion and home items, from wearable pieces to the kind of decor that makes a room feel collected rather than bought. Shopping here means your next favorite thing also does some good.
