Ready, steady, run! Here are ‘Squid Game 2’ brand collabs you won’t want to miss

From clothes to toys and whisky, these merch are absolutely to die for.

Squid Game fans better prepare for another round of deadly games when the hit Korean series returns for season 2 on Dec. 26.

Its trailer, which has so far earned 19 million views in just a month, is already proof that everyone’s ready to get in the game. But as seen in the show’s first chapter, which has amassed 330 million viewers and more than 2.8 billion hours streamed to date, being the most knowledgeable player is not an assurance that you emerge victorious.

Getting ahead of the pack also entails gearing yourself up with the essentials. In real life, this translates to the coolest Squid Game merchandise around. Since the trailer for Squid Game: Season 2 was released, Netflix and several brands have been announcing a slew of collaborations inspired by the series, which makes waiting for Season 2 as thrilling as watching the series for the first time.

These tie-ups capture the unique and iconic world of Squid Game and are designed to let you experience the thrill of being part of the game, even in your daily lives. Below, we’ve listed some of the most creative Squid Game merchandise you’d want to cop to make you feel like a winner.

Puma x Squid Game collection

One of the most striking collections in the lineup, the Puma x Squid Game collab is designed to let you wear your love for the show loud and proud, and with style. Among the highlights is the new Puma T7 tracksuit, which lets you dress up as one of the uniformed players of Squid Game: Season 2

There are also shirts, caps, and bags decorated with elements from the show, including the deadly game of “Red Light, Green Light” and the stairs room. Completing your action gear are the limited-edition Puma Suede and Easy sneakers pimped up with Easter eggs from the series.

The collection is available in Puma stores and website in the Philippines, with price tags ranging from P2,400 to P13,500.

Vandy the Pink and Netflix sweaters

Squid Game: Season 2’s release comes right after Christmas day, and if you’re thinking of unique, quirky, or eccentric ways to celebrate the season, then you won’t go wrong with wearing your favorite thriller series to family reunions. Virginia-based streetwear label Vandy the Pink and Netflix each have sweaters that let you add a Squid Game-inspired twist to the cold months.

Vandy the Pink’s black hoodie features two of the show’s Pink Soldiers and the iconic dalgona candy from season 1’s Ppopgi game. Meanwhile, Netflix’s “ugly sweater” is made quirky with a knit image of Young-Hee, the giant killer doll from the “Red Light, Green Light” round.

The trendsetting collaborations are not only ideal for the cold weather outdoors but also when you want to cozy up and binge-watch the beloved series at home. The Vandy the Pink Soldiers Oversized Hoodie and Squid Game 2024 Holiday Knit Sweater are available for P3,900 and P1,800 respectively, on Netflix’s online shop

Crocs Squid Game Classic Clogs

Crocs’ eye-catching Squid Game Classic Clog could easily win as the quirkiest merchandise in the lineup. The pair comes with what Crocs call a “killer style” with its green tracksuit print inspired by the players’ uniform, plus splats of blood details on the strap and midsole.

There’s also the show’s logo printed in English and Korean on the footbed, as well as “if you know you know” details. This includes the player ID “456” attached to the ankle strap for that winner vibe, as well as the stick figure silhouettes that reference the instructions displayed on the players’ dormitory throughout the show.

Like all Crocs collabs, the Squid Game Classic Clog comes with an exclusive set of six Jibbitz, featuring Young-hee, dalgona cookie, Pink Soldier mask, The Salesman calling card, and more themed charms. The pair is available for $69.99 on the Crocs website.

Olive Young x Squid Game beauty and skincare collections

Beauty junkies are also part of the game, with South Korean health and beauty retailer Olive Young releasing a series of Squid Game collabs with its in-house labels, BringGreen and WakeMake. Each brand offers a thrilling 12-product lineup designed around the character Young-hee.

WakeMake X Squid Game makeup collection

The Squid Game collection of vegan skincare brand BringGreen features products that aim to eliminate skin problems. This includes its Tea Tree-based hero line which comprises Tea Tree Cica Trouble Soothing Toner Pad, Pore Clay Pack Strong, pore Nose Strip, and many others.

Meanwhile, makeup label WakeMake’s Squid Game collection features a dalgona lip balm and a Soft Blurring Eye Palette that uses the Bloody Rose color theme from the game. It also includes the Any Proof Eyeline which is “designed to create laser-focused eye looks.”

Both the BringGreen and WakeMake Squid Game collections will be available in Olive Young stores in Korea, Amazon, and other online channels across nine countries in late December.

Johnnie Walker: Black Label ‘Squid Game’

Those who like to celebrate the upcoming show’s success, or maybe drink their disappointments away, can get their fill from Johnnie Walker’s signature Black Label whisky with a Squid Game twist. The new drink, according to the Scotch brand, blends the flavor of Johnnie Walker Black Label with the earthy, calming flavor of Bori-Cha, a Korean Barley tea.

What’s more, the Johnnie Walker: Black Label “Squid Game” whisky comes with a bottle design that reflects the unexpected twists of the hit dystopian thriller. Each bottle comes with a number ranging from 001 to 456 as a nod to the competing players in the series.

And while the numbers encourage customers to “pick your player,” there is no option to choose a particular number when you order a bottle online. It is available starting at P1,469 in liquor stores in the Philippines such as TipsyBooze Shop, and Manila Wine.

While much of the coveted toys’ details are kept under wraps, Pop Mart’s social media posts show that one Space Molly is garbed in a yellow-and-orange suit inspired by Young-hee, while another is dressed as Pink Soldier. Like all Space Molly art toys, its Squid Game renditions come with a functional helmet and a photographic gun.

The toys will also arrive with an exclusive card bearing a unique product ID and a number to track the product’s exclusivity. Both figures will come in the 100% (13.5 cm) and 400% (30 cm) sizes, and will be up for sale on Popmart.com and select stores on Dec. 20.
