Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood, slow-cooked meats, or just a relaxed meal in a beautiful setting, it’s the kind of brunch that makes Sundays feel special.
If you’ve ever been to Mirèio at Raffles Makati, you’re probably familiar with their Sunday Brunch Society—a long-standing favorite for those who appreciate a leisurely, upscale brunch. Now, with the debut of their new semi à la carte menu launching on September 22, they’re taking brunch to the next level with a fresh lineup of dishes that strike the perfect balance between elegance and comfort.
The revamped menu offers six main courses, along with a luxurious caviar station, a decadent raclette station, and signature dishes like Spanish paella and baked scallops. During a preview tasting, I got to experience what’s in store—and trust me, this isn’t your typical brunch.
Here’s a breakdown of some standout dishes you can expect:
Oyster Beet Gazpacho
This dish was surprisingly light and refreshing. The beet added a subtle earthiness to the fresh oyster, while a touch of caviar brought just the right amount of richness without being overwhelming.
Crispy Chicken Caesar Cutlets
The chicken was thinly sliced, perfectly cooked, and lightly seasoned for a crispy texture without feeling too heavy. The anchovies added a subtle salty kick without overpowering the dish, and the Caesar salad on top was fresh and light, complementing the chicken nicely. A solid, satisfying option.
Spanish Octopus
This was a pleasant surprise. The fennel purée was flavorful and complemented the dish perfectly. The octopus itself was incredibly tender. Even though I’m not a fan of olives, the dish was still a standout and really interesting overall.
Char Prawns
These prawns were soft and juicy, with a nice salty kick from the jamón. The brown butter sauce added a bit of richness, making this dish feel special.
Lobster Thermidor
Creamy and indulgent, the lobster thermidor was a definite standout. The lobster was perfectly cooked and paired with a light mesclun salad to keep the dish from feeling too heavy. The steak fries on the side were crispy and golden.
Slow-Cooked Lamb Chops
The lamb chops were incredibly tender, cooked sous-vide to make sure they were juicy and flavorful. The rosemary jus was a bit strong for my taste, but overall, it was a solid dish for meat lovers.
Beef Cheek Bourguignon
The beef cheeks were so tender they practically melted in your mouth. Served with creamy mashed potatoes, it was a rich, comforting dish that you’d want to savor slowly.
Paella
The paella was simple but packed with flavor. The rice itself was just shy of al dente, making it a satisfying dish that I’ll probably keep going back to.
Desserts
For dessert, the Citron Palet Breton was a bright, tangy treat that balanced the richness of the meal, while the Mille-Feuille Praline had layers of crispy pastry and creamy praline that were just the right amount of sweet.
Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood, slow-cooked meats, or just a relaxed meal in a beautiful setting, it’s the kind of brunch that makes Sundays feel special. The new menu launches on September 22, so make sure to reserve a spot for a brunch experience that’s both elevated and approachable.
