The new makeup line comes in neutral and bare-skin shades that are designed to highlight one’s natural beauty.
Makeup is about enhancing your natural beauty, not about hiding it—these were Lovi Poe’s words reminding everyone to value self-worth more than other people’s opinions.
Lovi showcased the beauty of self-love at the launch of her own makeup line, “Love, You by Lovi,” in collaboration with makeup brand Ready Set Glow last Friday, Oct. 18. Held at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City, the grand event was adorned with flower installations spread across its 5,737-square-feet floor area. On the side were huge photo-op stations that altogether reflected the brand’s charm and fabulous image.

Above all that sugar and spice, the actress’ own makeup brand is about embracing your natural beauty and radiating confidence from within. This is evident in how Love, You chose ordinary Filipinas—ones who struggled with their physical appearance and eventually learned to see beauty in them—as its brand ambassadors.
Among those who shared their stories of courage and hope before sashaying down the event’s runway is Lhia Sabino, who struggled with hair loss due to alopecia. Today, Teacher Lhia continues to advocate for herself and those with the same condition on TikTok.
Love, You likewise showcased the meaning of real beauty through Yvette Coral-de Castro, a former beauty queen who has learned to love her curvy figure and other changes in her body because of motherhood. There’s also Key Trajano, a transgender woman who, like most of the LGBTQ+ community, experienced discrimination due to her gender identity. She came out victorious when she became the first-ever transwoman to compete in the 2024 Century Tuna Superbods.

Their success stories, as well as those of every Filipino who has learned or continues to search for beauty in themselves, are what Love, You is all about. Its name is a clever play on the actress’ name and more so, a reflection of her advocacy for self-love.
The 33-year-old actress said on stage that she, too, got her fair share of criticisms, particularly about her morena skin tone and “flat chest.” In an interview with The POST, Lovi revealed that she started taking steps to love herself better when she realized that other people’s comments had been getting the best of her.
“There were times wherein I would talk to myself, and I was not kind,” the Flower of Evil star said. “I’m kind to others, but I was not kind to myself. And I said that I need to fix that because how can I be kind to others if I’m not kind to myself?” she said.
Lovi started to improve on and prioritize her self-worth by engaging in physical activities and practicing an attitude of gratitude. “Every time I wake up, I do what I call ‘meditation’—I work out and run. Then when the day ends, I recite to myself the things I am grateful for,” she told The POST.
Looking back, the self-care advocate advises people wanting to be confident in themselves to “always find joy from within.” She elaborated, “Because, you know, sometimes things can be a bit superficial, but it’s always the little things that truly count. So appreciation for yourself and the ordinary things in life—these are the things you need to find joy in.”

Having discovered the importance of self-love for one’s self and others, Lovi then made it the main driver of her new makeup brand. “We’ve all felt the weight of other’s opinions and we can be our own harshest critics,” she said. “But you know what, it’s time to turn down those voices and listen to our own. That’s why we named it ‘Love, You.’ Because it is a love letter to yourself; it’s a reminder to be kind to yourself and celebrate your unique beauty.”
In addition to advocating for self-love, the products of Love, You were designed to be practical and convenient as each one can be used in many ways. “Love, You is the kind of brand wherein each product is multipurpose,” Lovi told The POST. “Right now, I’m using our blush cream also as an eye shadow. And then the contouring stick, I also used it as a highlighter and eye shadow as well.”
The products come in neutral and bare-skin shades that are designed to highlight one’s natural beauty. And because Lovi believes that “makeup should enhance, not just cover up,” they added skin-nurturing ingredients to the lineup.

Here are Love, You’s products worth adding to your glam kit to help you enhance your natural beauty every day:
Skin Poetry Scented Body Shimmer

Skin Poetry is a lightweight body shimmer that gives you a feel-good glow no matter the color of your skin. It is enriched with Vitamin E for healthy skin, SPF15 for sun protection, plus lavender essence for fragrance (and an extra boost of confidence).
Aside from its name that features a creative play on Lovi’s surname, Skin Poetry comes in pink and purple bottles reminiscent of old perfume containers to represent the “fun and dreamy side of beauty,” according to her. The body shimmer is available in four shades: Celestial Glow (ivory white), Dream Dust (lilac), Girl’s Girl (pink), and Sunny Side.
Me, Myself & I Lippie

Me, Myself & I Lippie is not only a high-gloss lip balm but also a plumper and lip treatment, all in one. It combines the benefits of hyaluronic acid and jojoba oil for hydration and plumping of the lips, plus Vitamin E for antioxidant protection. You can glide on for a glossy finish, and layer for added volume.
It comes in six shades: Moreyna (nude brown), In the Flesh (nude pink), Smitten (carnation pink), Plum Pout (purple red), Resolution Red (bright red), and Majestique (bright red). The shade called “Moreyna” is in the nude brown color, and a play on the words “Morena” and “reyna”—very true to who Lovi is.
Heart in Bloom Cream & Powder Blush Duo

This 2-in-1 blush compact offers the velvety texture of a cream blush and the radiant finish of a powder blush. Lovi said the concept behind this is that she wants makeup junkies to easily find the formula they love when it comes to blushers. “Cream gives a dewy, natural finish, while powder gives a soft, matte look,” the actress said, “It’s all about giving people options that work for them. It could also make magic when combined.”
Like each of the products in Lovi Poe’s makeup lineup, Heart in Bloom is crafted to nourish the skin with ingredients like jojoba oil, camellia oil, and meadowfoam oil. The blush compact comes in four shades: Blossom (pink), Fine Wine (purplish), Flourish (coral), and Rosebud (red).
Love and Light Contour and Highlighter Stick

The Love and Light Contour and Highlighter Stick offers easy ways to contour your face even if you’re just a beginner. As the name says, the stick comes with a contouring cream on one end, and a highlighter on the other.
You use the highlighter to effortlessly brighten key areas like the under-eye area, bridges of the nose, brow bone, and more. Meanwhile, the contour stick is used to create shadow under the cheekbones and jawlines. With both a contouring stick and highlighter on hand, adding dimension and sculpting your face on the go will be a breeze.
This contour and highlighter stick comes in four shades: Eclipse, Harmony, Sonnet, and Luna.
Statement Setter Brow Trio

To help you better bring out your natural beauty, Love, You added the Statement Setter Brow Trio to its collection. This all-in-one set features a brow gel infused with nourishing vitamin B5 and aloe vera extract for hair growth and precise shaping. Meanwhile, the brow pencil is enriched with jojoba seed oil, argan oil, and castor oil, and defines and fills the brows effortlessly. The spoolie included also allows for grooming and blending.
This brow setter comes in two shades: Self-Motivation (dark brown) and Confidence Creed (brown gray).
