The eye-catching collection merges luxury and wearability with affordability.
Its creative fusion of bold prints and classic Italian style has certainly made Dolce & Gabbana everyone’s favorite luxury brand. And the Milan-based fashion powerhouse isn’t stopping. D&G is adding more star power to its already glamorous reputation with a new collaboration with Kim Kardashian and SKIMS.
On Nov. 14, the American media superstar’s loungewear brand announced that it has partnered with the Maison for a limited-edition collection that infuses “the timeless Italian allure of Dolce & Gabbana” into “signature SKIMS fabrics and figure-shaping style.”
The partnership not only shows how the luxury brand prioritizes comfort along with style but also places SKIMS in the high fashion market. The result is a bold, eye-catching lineup of lingerie, sleepwear, and corsets reflecting SKIM’s size-inclusivity ethos.
Since SKIMS was co-founded by Kim in 2018, the brand has focused on body positivity. Clothing comes in a wide range of sizes, from XXS (with a waist size of 23 to 24 inches) to 4X (waist size of 46 to 49.5 inches), while brassieres are available in 30A to 38DD.
The SKIMS x Dolce & Gabbana Collection comes with the same sizing but with a style stamped with D&G’s signature leopard prints and logo. It features SKIMS classics, including its Body Dress, Ultimate Bra, as well as Soft Lounge tanks and boxers. The lineup is spiced up with D&G’s iconic body-hugging corsets in lust-worthy European-inspired patterns.

Its launch comes two years after Kim teamed up with her long-time collaborators and friends, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, for the luxury label’s spring-summer 2023 collection. The previous lineup, which debuted at the Milan Fashion Week in September 2022, was curated by Kim and reflected her fondness of D&G’s nineties style in ripped denim trousers, crystal-encrusted dresses and tops, metal bustiers, and various leopard-printed ensembles.

Meanwhile, their collaboration this year focuses on ensuring “incredible fit and comfort,” which has always been a top priority for SKIMS. “It’s an honor to collaborate with my friends Domenico and Stefano on this special collection for Dolce&Gabbana and SKIMS,” said Kim in a press release. “We’ve taken Dolce&Gabbana silhouettes and leopard prints and reimagined them with the incredible fit and comfort that SKIMS is known for. This is a truly iconic partnership that I’m excited to share with the world.”

The collab came as a surprise not only for fans of both brands but also fans of the Kardashian siblings. The SKIMS x Dolce&Gabbana collection was launched with an ad campaign featuring both Kim and her sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker, who had a feud in 2023 that involved the luxury brand. At that time, Kourtney accused Kim of stealing her looks at her D&G and Gothic-themed wedding in 2022 for Kim’s own D&G fashion show the following year. The two patched things up in season 3 of their reality show, The Kardashians. Now, they’re out to prove that all is well between them through the SKIMS x Dolce&Gabbana’s mid-20th-century-inspired ad campaign.
Photos and videos from the campaign show the sisters sashaying down an Italian street in matching leopard-print bodysuits and classic voluminous hairstyles. In another clip, Kourtney is seen fixing her younger sister’s hair while donning a leopard-print set and the other wears lingerie with D&G and SKIMS logos printed on them.
Apart from luxury and wearability, the SKIMS x Dolce&Gabbana collection offers affordability to fans of both brands. Basic pieces start at $48 (P2,800), while more intricate ones go for as high as $698 (P41,000). It launches on Nov. 19 on the SKIMS website, SKIMS stores in the US, and select D&G boutiques worldwide.
