Louis Vuitton’s famed personalization service now comes with fresh options—new color pairings, updated typefaces, and vintage-inspired patches—that make each bag an extension of your unique self.
Nothing speaks luxury quite like a personalized designer bag. Monogram patterns and gold-plated logos may turn heads everywhere, but that added touch of “you” is what truly makes a custom bag a statement. It’s one that certainly gets double-takes from strangers and probing questions from envious friends during a brunch out.
Custom bags reinforce the idea that luxury can be as unique and exclusive as the owner. And in case you still didn’t know, high-end labels Hermès, Gucci, and Fendi have already been offering their clients various ways to customize their bags. Another label to get you into the trend is Louis Vuitton, which has just expanded its personalization with the new Mon Monogram service.

Initially launched in 2008, the service is described by Louis Vuitton as “an ode to creativity” that has defined the brand since its origins. “Mon Monogram infuses its iconic designs with the art of personal expression—opening the door to a journey of individuality through the House’s timeless codes and signatures,” it added.
LV’s Mon Monogram service is inspired by a common practice in the 19th century when people traveling by sea or train had their trunks marked with their full name or some striking design. It made it easier for them to differentiate their trunks from others’.

When the service was launched 17 years ago, clients were allowed to customize select pieces by stamping their initials and colors onto them. The latest chapter brings fresh options—new color pairings, updated typefaces, and vintage-inspired patches—which altogether make each bag an extension of your unique self. Bright stripes can now be paired with initials, or you can have them placed inside patches that resemble Art Nouveau ticket stubs, to bring art to your coveted bag.
It starts by selecting your preferred Louis Vuitton piece, from iconic travel essentials like the Keepall, Horizon, and Trio Poche Toilette, to everyday companions like the Speedy handbag, OnTheGo tote, and Christopher backpack. All of which you can pair up with custom passport covers and other small leather goods.

After locking in your design online or in-store, French artisans print three layers of pigment to ensure that the colors remain vibrant and details crisp through everyday use. Customers from the US can expect to get their one-of-a-kind Louis Vuitton piece at their doorstep in about three weeks. Meanwhile, those in the Philippines can visit local boutiques for a guided experience. Louis Vuitton stores in Solaire Manila, and Greenbelt Makati are some of the places where the service is being offered.
