Singapore is getting the BTS treatment this December, from iconic landmarks to after-dark experiences

The Lion City is staging Southeast Asia’s only “BTS The City Arirang” experience, bringing music, art, nightlife, and immersive attractions together for a month-long celebration.

Singapore is about to become one enormous BTS destination. Think illuminated landmarks, choreographed fireworks, immersive art installations, and nightlife experiences set to the music of the world’s biggest K-pop group.

From December 1 to 31, 2026, BTS The City Arirang Singapore will transform the Lion City into a month-long celebration of music, culture, and creativity. Organized through a partnership between Hybe and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the event will be Southeast Asia’s first and only edition of the experience this year.

The timing couldn’t be better. BTS is returning to Singapore for four sold-out concerts, giving fans an opportunity to turn their concert plans into an extended city escape. And even without a concert ticket, there’s plenty to look forward to.

A whole city, one spectacular BTS celebration

BTS The City Arirang is an immersive experience designed to extend the group’s world tour into the surrounding destination. First introduced in Seoul in March 2026, the concept has since traveled to Las Vegas, Busan, London, and New York. Singapore will be its final stop for the year, with what STB describes as the country’s largest island-wide fan activation for a recording artist.

The festivities coincide with BTS’ four concerts at the National Stadium on December 17, 19, 20, and 22, marking the group’s first full-member Singapore performances in seven years. The initiative turns a traditional concert trip into an opportunity to explore Singapore’s art institutions, architectural landmarks, entertainment destinations, and nightlife.

Where Singapore meets BTS: The experiences worth exploring

The festivities will unfold across some of Singapore’s most celebrated attractions, offering everything from art and architecture to amusement parks and after-dark entertainment.

Jewel Changi Airport will welcome visitors with a themed light-and-music show at its spectacular Rain Vortex, turning the world’s tallest indoor waterfall into a BTS-inspired visual experience.

At National Gallery Singapore, a specially curated art trail will pair the group’s music with works from Pop after Pop: Art around Us, creating an intersection between contemporary art and K-pop culture. The National Museum of Singapore will also feature themed light-and-sound installations.

For thrill-seekers, Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa will stage fireworks choreographed to BTS’ music, accompanied by additional themed attractions.

Over on Sentosa Island, fans can anticipate a BTS-inspired rave, drone show, themed race, and immersive installations.

The experience will extend to Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s new Exploria attraction, while The Kallang will feature interactive zones. Zouk Singapore will also host opening and closing night takeovers, bringing the celebration into the city’s celebrated nightlife scene.

Singapore’s skyline will turn Arirang red

From December 8 to 22, 13 landmarks across Marina Bay and the Singapore River will illuminate nightly in Arirang red, creating a coordinated display across the city’s architectural icons.

Participating landmarks include Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Flyer, The Helix Bridge, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, and The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, alongside several historic bridges.

For visitors planning a December itinerary, the waterfront promises to be among the most photogenic places to experience the celebration, especially after sunset.

A new kind of K-pop pilgrimage

The project represents a growing intersection between international entertainment and destination tourism. By bringing BTS into galleries, attractions, waterfront landmarks, and nightlife venues, Singapore is positioning the entire city as part of the entertainment experience.

For Filipino ARMYs, the month-long celebration offers another reason to plan a December getaway, with experiences that stretch past the four stadium concerts. Specific activation schedules, admission arrangements, and booking details will be announced separately. Travelers can follow the Singapore Tourism Board’s official announcement for updates.
