Yes, we’re enchanted by Taylor Swift supporting Travis Kelce at his games in Arrowhead and MetLife stadiums.
Not to mislead anyone, but c’mon!
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have yet to confirm dating rumors, but they’ve shown so many signs that were too hard to miss:
On July 6, Kelce was spotted at the Eras Tour at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.
In an episode of New Heights podcast by the brothers Jason and Travis Kelce, Travis talked about shooting his shot and wanting to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. He failed.
In September, NFL Network’s Rich Eisen made a lot of Swift references in his pre-game coverage. Kelce then commented on Instagram, “Well played Rich…Well played.”
At The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce shared that he “threw the ball in her court” and invited Swift to watch him play at Arrowhead Stadium.
Swift was spotted at the Chiefs game vs Bears and riding off with Kelce in his convertible.
The past couple of weeks, Travis Kelce has suddenly become the talk of the town among Swifties and the rest of the world. Taylor’s showing up at his game at Arrowhead sparked the rumors and, in the words of many non-football fans, “put Travis Kelce on the map.” It’s a prank that women pull with their boyfriends, husbands and brothers. Go on TikTok or Instagram and type the keywords “travis kelce taylor swift prank.”
Below, Barstoolsports compiles some of the funniest videos:
Football fans, however, argue that everyone knows Kelce as one of the best tight ends in the history of the National Football League who has won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs, and now holds multiple NFL records. Outside the football field, he co-hosts the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason, which covers topics from football to pop culture.
The Swift phenomenon
After Swift’s appearance at the Kansas City Chiefs game against Chicago Bears (her first), there was reportedly a 400% spike in Travis Kelce’s jersey sales, 380,000 + followers increase on Instagram, 24.3M viewers watch, and the greatest ticket sales in a day since the start of the season.
Yup, we’ve seen this film before. It is not the first or second time that Swift has made (intentionally or otherwise) something or someone break the internet. This is her thing.
Everyone is excited to see how it’s going to turn out—Swifties say he either ends up in her long list of ex-lovers or as Taylor’s end game as Mr. Swift.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film in the Philippines
On more exciting news, Filipino Swifties who for many reasons can’t go and experience the Eras Tour in another country can now shake the FOMO off as the film version of the concert is showing in over 100 countries including PH cinemas on October 13.
The Eras Tour movie is Swift’s fourth concert film after Fearless, 1989, and Reputation. Directed by Sam Wrench who’s known for directing similar documentaries for artists like BTS, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, and Jennifer Lopez, the film is said to run for two hours and 45 minutes. It was recorded during the first three of six Los Angeles shows of the tour (August 3-5) at SoFi Stadium, California.
You might be wondering how you are going to keep yourself from dancing or singing along like you would in a typical movie. Well, you’ve got no reason to be afraid. Get ready to take the moment and taste it as SM Cinema has confirmed that everyone can stand, sing and dance to enjoy it like in an actual concert.
This may also be the best time to pull off the Eras look you have been imagining for months now. Even Swift said in her post, “Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing, and dancing encouraged.”
You know how it works with Swifties—if you have not booked your ticket yet, chances are you are going to have a hard time looking for one. The concert film will be shown in Ayala Malls Cinema in 2D, A-Giant, A-Luxe, and Atmos, as well as in SM Cinemas and in IMAX. Click here for tickets.
