HBO just dropped the Green and Black trailers depicting the political factions of Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen.
Whose claim on the Iron Throne will you support? The Greens support Alicent and the Blacks support Rhaenyra. With the stage set for a battle of epic proportions, viewers are being asked to pick a side as the power struggle between two queens in the House Targaryen reaches its boiling point.
On one side of the divide stands Rhaenyra Targaryen, the fiery and ambitious heir to the Iron Throne. Played with steely determination by Emma D’Arcy, Rhaenyra is depicted as a formidable leader, willing to do whatever it takes to secure her birthright. Prince Daemon and her supporters rally behind her, their loyalty unwavering as they prepare for the coming storm.
Opposing Rhaenyra is Alicent Hightower, wife of Viserys Targaryen, and her sons Aegon, Daeron, Aemond and Healena. Aemond killed Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys—whether intentional or accidental is up to you—in the battle of the skies in the season 1 finale.
Betrayals will be uncovered, alliances will be forged and broken, and the fate of the Seven Kingdoms will hang in the balance.
But as the battle lines are drawn and the conflict escalates, viewers are faced with a choice: Whose side are you on? Will you stand with Rhaenyra, the rightful heir fighting to reclaim her birthright? Or will you pledge your allegiance to Aegon II, the embattled young king struggling to hold on to power?
