The Singapore-based ship is adding a Malaysian island escape to select four-night voyages, pairing Disney days at sea with beaches, rainforests, and culture on shore.
Disney fans in the Philippines now have another reason to set their sights on Singapore—and this time, the adventure won’t stay entirely at sea.
Disney Cruise Line is adding Langkawi, Malaysia, as a port of call for select four-night Disney Adventure sailings beginning December 31, 2026, marking a major itinerary change for the cruise ship that has so far focused on onboard experiences without scheduled destination stops. The special sailings will run through May 2027.
The Singapore-homeported ship will still serve up its signature sea days, but passengers can now dock, disembark, and discover a second Southeast Asian destination in the same vacation.
From a cruise to nowhere to a coastal call
Disney Adventure made its maiden voyage from Singapore on March 10, 2026, becoming Disney Cruise Line’s first ship homeported in Asia. Until the Langkawi announcement, its three- and four-night itineraries had no scheduled port stops, making the massive ship—with its Disney, Pixar, and Marvel attractions—the destination itself. That changes with the new four-night itinerary.
The cruise will still start and finish in Singapore, but on Day 3, passengers on select sailings can spend the day in Langkawi. Disney says the stop is designed to pair its onboard entertainment with another taste of Southeast Asia while keeping the four-night format intact.
For Filipino travelers, that makes the itinerary practical: fly to Singapore, board Disney Adventure, spend several days surrounded by Disney magic, make a Malaysian island stop, then sail back to Singapore—all in one short regional getaway.
What can you do in Langkawi?
Sitting off Malaysia’s northwestern coast, Langkawi brings beaches, blue waters, lush rainforests, limestone landscapes, local food, and island adventures into the mix.
The archipelago has been recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark since 2007, with geological formations stretching back hundreds of millions of years. Depending on how travelers choose to spend their day ashore, possibilities include island-hopping, water activities, exploring the rainforest and coastline, sampling traditional Malay fare, or shopping for local crafts.
Disney Cruise Line will also offer Port Adventures, its lineup of organized shore excursions operated with independent third-party providers. These can cover different activities and price points and may be booked through Disney Cruise Line’s website, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, or the Port Adventures Counter aboard the ship.
The Disney magic still stays at sea
A destination day doesn’t mean Disney Adventure is dialing down the onboard draw.
The ship—the eighth and largest in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet—can accommodate approximately 6,700 passengers and features seven themed areas. Passengers can explore spaces inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Marvel, catch Broadway-style entertainment, dine in themed venues, and take on attractions such as Ironcycle Test Run, Disney Cruise Line’s first roller coaster and the longest roller coaster at sea. In other words, travelers no longer have to pick between a Disney-packed deck day and a destination-driven detour. Select sailings now deliver both.
As Disney Adventure continues its Singapore sailings, Langkawi gives repeat cruisers—and first-timers from the Philippines—a fresh reason to climb aboard. One booking can now bring Singapore, Disney at sea, and Malaysia together, turning a four-night cruise into a compact three-part Southeast Asian escape.
