What to expect on the Disney Adventure Cruise Ship

Disney fans should buckle up for an experience like no other on the ship, where seven themed areas bring the magic of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel into the sea.

First up is the Disney Imagination Garden which is a vibrant open-air garden located at the center of the ship. Dubbed the “heart and soul of the Disney Adventure,” the expansive gathering area features a three-deck-tall castle art piece and theatrical stage that serves as the perfect backdrop as you are being transported to your favorite Disney stories. Here, you can join the Let’s Set Sail dance party to kick off your voyage and delight in watching live performances like Avengers Assemble!, Captain Jack Sparrow & the Siren Queen, Baymax Super Exercise Expo, and many more.

Fans of Disney’s unique underwater world should head to the Disney Discovery Reef for a magical open-air retreat at the back of the ship. Here, you will be treated to a variety of shops and dining experiences inspired by your favorite nautical stories, from The Little Mermaid to Finding Nemo and Luca.

There’s also the Toy Story Place filled with water play areas on the ship’s upper decks. Designed for families with young children, the water park features amenities like the Sunnyside Family Pool, towering slides such as Woody & Jessie’s Wild Slides, interactive Toy Story Splash Pads, and several whirlpool spas. What’s even better, you can enjoy all these while watching Pixar’s Toy Story movies on two jumbo screens.

There’s definitely no better place for Avengers fans to assemble than at the Marvel Landing area at the Disney Cruise Ship. Located at the ship’s upper deck, the space features supercharged attractions like Groot Galaxy and Spin Pym Quantum Racers. What’s even better, Marvel Landing is where new recruits and seasoned heroes alike can experience the Ironcycle Test Run, the first roller coaster aboard a Disney ship and the longest of its kind at sea. Here, guests can test-drive Tony Stark’s latest Ironcycle prototype and be suspended up to nine meters above the upper deck.

If you still find yourself in superhero mode from your adventures at Marvel Landing, then continue unleashing the warrior in you at San Fransokyo Street. Inspired by Big Hero 6, this family entertainment area is where you’ll find the Big Hero Arcade and the Hiro Training Zone, where you and your family can compete with others to run, dodge, and block their way across a high-tech gaming floor.

Need to catch a breath from all the thrill and adventure? Then Wayfinder Bay is the place to go. The relaxation and entertainment space, inspired by Moana, offers guests a chance to cool down on the ship’s tiered seating while sipping refreshing beverages from the bar and enjoying stunning views of the sea and sky. You can also unwind in the sparkling pool which also serves as a unique performance venue for live shows like Moana: Call of the Sea.

And, of course, what’s a Disney experience without your favorite princesses? The Town Square is where you’ll find lavishly themed restaurants, cafes, shops, salons and more inspired by Disney royals like Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Frozen, Tangled, among others. The area is also home to the Walt Disney Theater where you can watch musicals such as the Disney Seas the Adventure and Remember, which is exclusively staged for the Disney Adventure.

In true Disneyland fashion, guests climbing aboard the Disney Adventure Cruise Ship can look forward to meeting Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and the rest of the gang in deck parties, restaurants, or even walking the decks throughout the trip.

Expect dining experiences that are nothing short of magical with the ship’s two upscale restaurants, the Palo Trattoria and Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia, as well as quick-service shops such as Bewitching Boba and Brews, Stitch’s Ohana Grill, and Cosmic Kebabs, among many others.

Staterooms

Disney knows that a real magical holiday starts from the moment one wakes up. That is why it built its first Asia-based cruise ship with staterooms that have modern facilities and special Disney touches. The most basic room, called the Inside Stateroom, can accommodate up to four guests and is decorated with character sketches and storybook landscapes of your favorite Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories. If you want the same experience but with a breathtaking view of the sea, opt for the Oceanview Stateroom.

The Verandah Staterooms and Concierge Suites are for families who want to add a touch of luxury to their cruise. The Verandah has a private balcony where you can enjoy views of either the ocean, Disney Imagination Garden, or Disney Discovery Reef.

Meanwhile, Concierge Staterooms and Suites are where you’ll be given personalized service, which lets you experience the comforts of home at sea, in addition to exclusive access to private retreats, luxury shopping, first-class spa services, premium fitness facilities, and more.
