Before Crash Landing on You, Hyun Bin was already a household name in South Korea, thanks to hit dramas like My Name Is Kim Sam Soon and Secret Garden. But CLOY catapulted him into global Hallyu superstardom. Suddenly, he wasn’t just Korea’s leading man—he was the leading man. His portrayal of Captain Ri was equal parts romantic fantasy and emotional anchor, grounding the series even in its most improbable moments.

And it wasn’t just the fans who were moved. On-screen chemistry soon turned into real-life romance, as Hyun Bin and co-star Son Ye-jin confirmed they were dating after the show ended—and later got married, sealing their status as the ultimate K-drama power couple.
