10 ways to make the most of a wedding fair

On its 10th anniversary, The Peninsula Manila holds its biggest wedding fair yet on May 11 and 12

There are a million details that go into planning a wedding. Having a perfect one that guests will talk about for a very long time for all the right reasons is every bridge and groom’s wish.

To take the stress out of wedding planning and the small details out of your hands, The Peninsula Manila is mounting “Timeless Celebrations: Weddings at The Peninsula and More” on May 11 and 12, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 7 pm.

Rather than couples going from one expert to another, they can connect with leaders in the wedding industry under one roof at the wedding fair. Videographers, photographers, florists, caterers, stylists and planners will be on hand to offer advice, answer questions, and showcase their talents.

In its biggest wedding fair yet, The Peninsula is partnering with industry leaders Christine Ong-Te Events (COTE), Michael Leyva, and Manila Fashion Festival (MFF) along with other inspiring leaders from the Philippine wedding and events industry.

Timeless Celebrations promises to provide couples with all the creative motivation they need, and to get a lot done in two days while perusing and choosing from a range of wedding and celebratory essentials, each one chosen for their signature style and savoir faire—from bridal finery to tabletop decorations, delicious cakes and blooming bouquets to honeymoon and holiday destinations, photographers, events hosts, and many more.

Here are 10 reasons to say “yes” to The Peninsula’s wedding fair.

1. Win fabulous prizes

Three-day/ two-night stays at The Peninsula Tokyo (above) and Bangkok are up for grabs.

Many exhibitors will be offering giveaways, but the most exciting prizes will be coming from The Peninsula Manila, which is giving lucky guests the chance to win a three-day/ two-night stay for two with breakfast at The Peninsula Bangkok and The Peninsula Tokyo, along with other exciting prizes.

2. Enjoy bridal fashion shows on May 11 and 12

Discover Michael Leyva’s bridal fashions on Saturday, May 11, at The Upper Lobby; and Manila Fashion Festival’s (MFF) Bridal Collection 2024 on Sunday, May 12, at The Lobby.

Discover new and timeless bridal fashion.

One of the youngest and most successful designers of his generation, Michael Leyva is going to showcase his very first solo bridal fashion show at Timeless Celebrations. “It’s my first time to create a full bridal collection that will offer versatility for the modern bride and I’m thrilled to do it,” he says.

A staunch supporter of Philippine design talent and a longtime collaborator of The Peninsula Manila, Manila Fashion Festival (MFF) will showcase stunning bridal wear from Aisle by ACMS and acclaimed Filipino designers Studio Ceremonie,  Rei Escario, Jor-el Espina, and Banggo Niu.

The two shows will combine the passion and talents of young designers, the intimacy of a boutique show, and the beauty of bridal fashion in a series of collections set against the backdrop of The Lobby’s iconic “Sunburst” sculpture by National Artist Napoleon “Billy” Abueva.

Take pictures and scribble down notes so that you can refer to them as you plan your big day.
