It’s perfectlty suited for sunny days and moments by the sea.
Ralph Lauren returned to his Madison Avenue headquarters on September 11 to present his Spring 2026 collection, staged on the eve of New York Fashion Week. The setting was pared back: white walls, black wicker chandeliers, black floors, and low couches. It was a deliberate choice that kept the spotlight on the clothes.

The first look featured a black bra top, belted trousers, and a long white coat. From there, the runway delivered cotton sundresses, crisp two-piece sets, and wide-brimmed sun hats, all working within a limited palette of red, white, and black.

Menswear references ran throughout, with double-breasted coats, tailored trousers, and ties styled as belts. These sharper pieces were balanced by light slip skirts, sheer knits, and flowing dresses. Midway through, patterns entered the mix with stripes, floral detailing, and geometric prints.
Lauren described the collection as reflecting “a woman’s strength and sensuality.” Many pieces leaned into ease, with billowing maxi skirts, denim, and light layering giving the collection a relaxed, functional core.

Eveningwear was understated. White slip dresses, black sequined skirts, and silky gowns closed the show.

The clean foundation allowed accessories to take the spotlight. Models wore oversized silver pendants, bold earrings, and statement belts. Footwear was practical and summer-driven with espadrilles, raffia heels, and peep-toe sandals appearing throughout. Bamboo-handled totes and sweeping hats highlighted the coastal undertone of the collection.

Though the venue was in midtown Manhattan, the mood felt closer to the French Riviera. The lineup seemed made for sunny days and seaside settings.
The front row was packed with familiar names. Oprah Winfrey, Anna Wintour, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts, Usher, and Winter of Aespa were among the guests.
At the close, Lauren stepped onto the staircase in his trademark sunglasses, joined by his wife, Ricky. The audience rose for a standing ovation, acknowledging both the man and his lasting influence on American style.
