Designer Jojie Lloren’s maiden collection features block prints by Joey Bocobo, photos by Kim Montes, and woven crafts by SC Vizcarra.
J. Lloren Editions is a retail concept developed by designer Jojie Lloren that explores the limitless possibilities at the crossroads of art, fashion, culture, and craft. True to his DNA of nurturing emerging talent, the brand is guided by one clear purpose: to elevate Filipino creativity by transforming original artistic expression and Philippine cultural narratives into collectible, limited-edition, ready-to-wear pieces that honor both the maker and wearer.
Under the J. Lloren Editions platform, designers, artists, artisans, and collectors are bonded by a shared passion for preserving and advancing Filipino creative excellence. “Lloren Editions was built on the belief that fashion can be more than clothing. It can preserve culture, champion artists, celebrate craftsmanship, and become part of a collector’s legacy,” Jojie shares.

The first edition of J. Lloren Editions will launch at the MaArte Fair, happening from August 13 to 16 at The Peninsula Manila in Makati. Its 25-piece maiden collection will feature block prints by Joey Bocobo, photographs by Kim Montes, and woven crafts by SC Vizcarra.
“Rather than following season trends or mass productions, J. Lloren Editions creates collectible garments that embody artistic excellence, cultural resonance, and enduring craftsmanship,” explains the designer, mentor, and founder.
Only 12 pieces will be made for each style, with production following the tenets of responsible luxury, meaning everything will be made upon order. The space at the MaArte Fair, however, will showcase sample and archival pieces produced in advance.

“We produce three to six pieces initially for a launch or exhibition. The rest are made only when there are orders. This approach minimizes overproduction and unnecessary waste. It encourages mindful consumption and ensures that every garment is created with intention, purpose, and enduring value,” Jojie explains. The collection is ready-to-wear, but presented and crafted through the lens of couture.
The coming together of fashion and art under the platform is not merely a transfer from canvas to fabric. It is instead an unfolding of creative collaboration, where the designer, artist, and maker tell a story. Moreover, Jojie’s choice of artists, artisans, and makers is based on real connection. “I’m more interested in hearing a unique voice and a genuine passion for craft than fame,” he says. “Every collaboration should feel natural where we talk about placement, and everything is created together from start to finish.”
As it is with art, every piece from J. Lloren Editions is documented and authenticated. “Every edition is conceived as a collectible body of work, celebrating exceptional craftsmanship, artistic integrity, and the rich diversity of Filipino culture. I think art is not limited to the things we see. It can also be experienced. It moves, travels, creates conversations, and carries stories,” Jojie enthuses. “When someone wears a piece from J. Lloren Editions, they wear the vision of an artist, the craft of makers, and a piece of Filipino culture.”

This new retail concept aims to forge meaningful partnerships with visual artists, artisans, makers, and other creative minds. “There is really no limit to where we can take this,” says Jojie. “One of our key missions is to provide fair recognition, equitable compensation, and opportunities for professional growth.”
As such, a portion of the proceeds from sales is dedicated to the J. Lloren Editions Artist Fund, which will spearhead initiatives including artist royalties, creative grants, mentorship programs, residency opportunities, exhibition support, publication projects, documentation of Philippine craft, as well as educational collaborations.
“J. Lloren Editions exists to prove that luxury can be purposeful, that fashion can preserve culture, that collaboration creates greater beauty than authorship alone, and that every carefully made garment can become a lasting testament to Filipino creativity,” Jojie says. “We create fewer pieces so that each piece matters more.
