PIFS 2025 showcased pieces that blend traditional Philippine heritage with modern aesthetics, focusing on sustainable materials and natural textures.
The Philippine International Furniture Show (PIFS) celebrated its 33rd edition by highlighting bespoke craftsmanship with emphasis on the country’s exceptional furniture designers.
PIFS and Interior & Design Manila (IDM) showcased the best of Philippine furniture and accessories at the SMX Convention Center last March 6 to 8.
This year’s theme, “Philippines: An Archipelago of Design,” perfectly encapsulated the rich cultural tapestry and artistic prowess of Filipino craftsmanship, showcasing a seamless blend of timeless classics and contemporary designs.


PIFS ranks among the most significant furniture fairs in the Philippines, attracting both local and international exhibitors and visitors annually in March. Since its inaugural event, it has established itself as a key platform for showcasing the latest trends in furniture, lighting, interior design, and decoration.
The Philippine furniture industry, known for its high-quality, handmade, and innovative products, makes a substantial contribution to national export revenues. The USA, Japan, and the European Union are among the main export markets.
The furniture industry has earned a reputation for producing unique and high-quality furniture from materials such as rattan, bamboo, metal, and wood, attracting both local and international designers. It offers a platform for experimenting with materials and designs, leading to the development of unique, globally competitive products.
The fair was organized by Global-Link MP Events International Inc., in close cooperation with leading industry organizations such as the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP), the Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation, Inc. (CFIF), and the Pampanga Furniture Industries Foundation (PFIF). These partnerships highlight the fair’s central importance to the furniture industry both nationally and internationally.

Highlights of the show included an art installation by Leeroy New, a pavilion designed by architect Anton Mendoza, and more notable names to discover at the exhibition. The Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines and the MICE Industry Forum, which would deepen your understanding of design spaces.
The event also honored innovative creators through the Designer Awards, a Design Talk focused on diversity in Filipino craftsmanship and regional designs, and a Design Competition hailed as “MVMT,” short for “movement,” as motivated by the idea of the Movement 8 collective of breakthrough Filipino designers; a contemporary response to producing more designer creatives.
