Why choose? Have pizza and gelato in one delicious destination.
If you’re looking for a new Italian spot that does both savory and sweet right, Trattoria e Dolci at Solaire Resort North is worth checking out. It opened its doors to the public last January 24 and brings together two classic Italian dining experiences: a trattoria serving up freshly made Neapolitan-style pizzas and a gelateria offering gelatos and desserts. It’s a place where you can sit back, enjoy good food, and soak in its warm, rustic ambiance that feels like a slice of Italy.

Simple yet satisfying flavors
The menu focuses on traditional Italian flavors with high-quality ingredients. If you’re here for pizza, the Trattoria pizza is a must-try. It’s light, cheesy, and packed with flavor—thanks to a combination of mortadella, burrata, and pistachios. The slight saltiness of the mortadella pairs well with the creaminess of the burrata, while the pistachios add a nutty crunch that brings it all together.

For those who like a little spice, the Diavola pizza delivers. Topped with spicy salami, it brings a bold, peppery kick. The saltiness of the salami is noticeable, but the spice helps balance it out, making it a solid choice if you prefer something with more heat.
Each pizza is made using a brick oven from Naples, giving the crust the perfect balance of crispness and chew, just the way it should be.
The sweet side
Once you’re done with the savory part of your meal, the Dolci section of the restaurant is ready to serve up dessert. The gelato counter is the star here, offering 30 different handcrafted flavors.

For a great combo, try the pistachio and strawberry cheesecake flavors together (I had them and didn’t regret it one bit). The pistachio has a deep, nutty taste with a slight bitterness, while the strawberry cheesecake is creamy and tangy, creating a well-balanced bite. And if you want the full experience, get it in a cone instead of a cup—it’s the best way to enjoy gelato. Well, at least for me!

The atmosphere
Beyond the food, Trattoria e Dolci has a warm and inviting space that makes you want to stay a little longer. The interiors are thoughtfully designed with mosaic tables, marble counters, and terrazzo flooring, all adding a rustic Italian charm. You can even watch the pizzaiolo in action as they prepare each pizza from scratch.

For a fun, nostalgic touch, there’s a vintage jukebox playing lively Italian tunes, adding to the relaxed and welcoming vibe of the restaurant.
If you’re in the mood for a hearty and filling Italian meal or just a scoop of good gelato, it’s a spot worth visiting.
Trattoria e Dolci is located at the ground floor of Solaire Resort North, 1 Solaire Way, Vertis North, Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City.
