HBO Max joins Netflix and Cignal in PLDT Home’s upgraded fiber plans for the ultimate home entertainment hub.

I am currently subscribed to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. There was a time when I was also subscribed to Disney+ and Discovery Channel as well. I stayed with Disney+ for a while for What We Do In The Shadows, and the latter was an attempt to satisfy my guilty pleasure for reality shows. I was itching to go on HBO Max for House of the Dragons, and AppleTV for Severance, but my EQ at rare moments wins, and I stayed on three platforms.

It’s no surprise that the abundance of good shows and movies creates a sense of FOMO, but paying for multiple streaming platforms seems excessive. That’s why it’s always a relief to find a service that helps you enjoy more without juggling extra fees. PLDT Home is doing just that with its recent announcement of adding HBO Max in its powerhouse lineup of streaming partners.

New and existing customers of the enhanced PLDT Home Fiber Unli All Plan 2499 and Plan 3199 now get HBO Max Standard subscription as part of their fiber connection, on top of their monthly access to Netflix and Cignal. These upgraded plans combine unlimited internet with speeds up to 700 Mbps and 1 Gbps (respectively), unlimited calls, and unlimited access to world-class entertainment, all in one subscription.

Customers can stream hits through HBO Max including IT: Welcome to Derry and fan-favorite series The White Lotus and The Last of Us; and rediscover iconic franchises such as Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and more. They can also stream blockbusters such as Superman, A Minecraft Movie, and many more.

Time to press play: PLDT Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Business John Y. Palanca leads the announcement of PLDT Home’s upgraded Fiber Unli All Plans.

Palanca, PLDT Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Business at an intimate media event held recently at KAO Manila in Newport World Resorts. The announcement was marked with performances by drag artist Budalyn and stand-up comedy by Israel Buenaobra, Yuki Horikoshi, and Alex Calleja. Rock royalty Kjwan also took the stage.

“Now, our plan is to make PLDT home. the ultimate home lifestyle partner for every Filipino home at all budgets. But we will begin by saying this: we will continue to keep adding to these plans as we build up the lifestyle brand to make sure that we become the key entertainment hub at home, coupled with our fiber fast connectivity,” Palanca shared.

Palanca also highlighted how PLDT Home continues to innovate, citing Always On, as an example. “Last year, we launched a groundbreaking solution called Always On. Now, we sustain our leadership by continuously strengthening our offerings.”

The vision continues to make PLDT Home the ultimate Filipino home lifestyle partner at all budgets. Palanca also shared that they will continue to keep adding to the plans with the goal of becoming the key entertainment hub in every home, supported by its fiber-fast connectivity. “We’re now cementing our unlimited status to become the ultimate. As the leading telco in the Philippines, so committed to bringing you only the best, we are always looking to give you more. More is possible.” Palanca said.
