The brand’s newest flagship phone leads a wave of devices designed for work, play, and daily life.
Xiaomi just rolled out a full slate of new gadgets in the Philippines, led by the launch of the Xiaomi 17 Series, its newest flagship smartphone lineup developed in partnership with legendary camera maker Leica.
But the phones weren’t the only highlight. Alongside the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the company also introduced the Xiaomi Pad 8 Series tablets, Xiaomi Watch 5, new earbuds, a portable power bank, and even an electric scooter lineup, expanding its growing ecosystem of connected devices.
The announcement shows how Xiaomi is positioning its latest generation of devices: powerful enough for photography, productivity, and entertainment, but still designed to fit easily into everyday life.

The Xiaomi 17 Series puts photography at the center
At the core of the launch is the Xiaomi 17 Series, which continues Xiaomi’s ongoing collaboration with Leica to bring professional-level photography to smartphones.

The flagship Xiaomi 17 Ultra is designed for users who treat their phone camera like a creative tool. It features a new one-inch main camera sensor and a Leica-engineered telephoto lens capable of extended optical zoom, allowing users to capture everything from close portraits to long-distance shots with impressive detail.
Video also gets a major upgrade. The phone supports recording features and high-resolution video capture, making it suitable for content creators who shoot directly from their phones.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 offers a more compact alternative while still packing a powerful camera system. It includes a high-end image sensor, a floating telephoto lens for portraits and macro shots, and a high-resolution front camera designed for sharper selfies and video calls.
Both phones also include AI-powered photography tools and editing features, giving users more flexibility when shooting or refining their images.

A refined design built for everyday durability
Xiaomi kept things clean and minimal. The phones feature smooth curves, slim bezels, and lightweight builds that aim to make them comfortable to hold throughout the day. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is the thinnest and lightest Ultra model Xiaomi has released so far, while the Xiaomi 17 offers a more compact option. The phones also include Xiaomi’s updated Guardian Structure, which combines strengthened glass, aluminum frames, and water- and dust-resistant protection to help the devices withstand everyday use.
Built for power users, gamers, and heavy multitaskers
Under the hood, both phones run on the latest Snapdragon mobile platform, giving them the processing power needed for demanding tasks such as gaming, video editing, and multitasking across multiple apps.
Battery life is another focus. The devices use Xiaomi’s new high-density battery technology and support fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up their phones during busy days.
The displays also received upgrades, with bright OLED panels designed to stay visible even under strong sunlight and refresh rates that adjust dynamically for smoother scrolling and video playback.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Series targets work and productivity
Beyond smartphones, Xiaomi also introduced the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, a new generation of tablets aimed at people who want something lightweight but capable of handling work tasks.
Both tablets feature large high-resolution displays and slim designs that make them easy to carry around. The Pad 8 Pro is powered by a flagship processor designed for heavier workloads, while the standard Pad 8 offers a more streamlined option for everyday multitasking.

Running on Xiaomi’s HyperOS system, the tablets include features such as split-screen multitasking and PC-style browsing tools, allowing users to manage documents, presentations, and web tasks more easily on a tablet.
For creatives and professionals, Xiaomi also introduced the Focus Pen Pro, a stylus designed for drawing, note-taking, and precise input.
A growing ecosystem of connected devices
The launch also included several new accessories and smart devices designed to work alongside Xiaomi’s phones and tablets.
These include the Xiaomi Watch 5, a smartwatch that integrates Google services and offers health tracking, smart notifications, and gesture controls.

For audio, Xiaomi introduced the REDMI Buds 8 Pro, wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation and spatial audio features designed for music, video, and gaming.
Practical everyday tools such as the UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank and Xiaomi Tag tracker focus on convenience, keeping devices charged and helping users track everyday items like keys, bags, or luggage.

On the mobility side, Xiaomi also unveiled its Electric Scooter 6 Series, built for urban commuting with longer range, improved suspension, and stronger motors.
