From K-pop icons to rising P-pop groups here’s who’s shaping this year’s most global lineup yet
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival returns this April with one of its most globally diverse lineups to date. Set across two weekends, April 10–12 and April 17–19, 2026, in Indio, California, the festival continues to expand its roster of Asian and Asian-led acts across pop, hip-hop, and electronic music.
While headliners include Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G, a significant part of this year’s lineup highlights the growing presence of Asian artists on the global stage.
BigBang returns to the Coachella stage
K-pop group BigBang is scheduled to perform on April 12 and 19, closing out both weekends of the festival. The trio—G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung—last appeared together at the 2024 MAMA Awards.

Their Coachella set marks a major return following their originally planned 2020 appearance, which was cancelled due to the pandemic. The 2026 performance also comes ahead of the group’s 20th anniversary, making it one of the most anticipated sets of the festival.
Katseye represents a new global girl group model
Katseye, the multinational girl group formed through HYBE’s Dream Academy project, will perform on April 10 and 17.

The group is made up of Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae—members coming from South Korea, the Philippines, the United States, and Europe. Katseye was built to be global from day one, combining K-pop’s training system with Western pop accessibility.
They’ve already built a growing fanbase known as Eyekons, and with appearances at major festivals and global campaigns under their belt, their Coachella set feels like a natural next step.
Filipino acts continue to build global momentum
The 2026 lineup also includes Filipino representation, with BINI scheduled to perform on April 10 and 17, marking the first time an all-Filipino girl group will take the Coachella stage.

Formed in 2019 through ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy, the eight-member group has steadily expanded its reach through international tours and festival appearances across New York, Dubai, London, and Singapore.
For Filipino fans, this is a defining moment. It signals that P-pop is gaining ground globally, with Filipino artists increasingly finding space in major international festivals.
This momentum extends beyond Coachella. SB19, widely credited for helping bring P-pop to global audiences, has also been announced as part of the Lollapalooza 2026 lineup—another major festival stage that underscores the growing visibility of Filipino acts worldwide.

More Asian artists across genres and scenes
Beyond K-pop and P-pop, the lineup features a range of artists from across Asia.
From Japan, hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts and singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze are both set to perform, bringing a mix of viral hits and genre-crossing sound. Electronic and DJ acts from the region also appear on the lineup, reflecting the diversity of Asia’s music scenes.
These additions follow a steady rise in Asian representation at Coachella over the years. Earlier milestones include Epik High’s early appearances, BLACKPINK’s breakthrough set in 2019 and their return as the first K-pop act to headline the festival in 2023, as well as Jackson Wang’s performance in 2022, making him the first Chinese solo artist to take the Coachella stage.
Coachella 2026 will take place over two weekends: April 10–12 and April 17–19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
With a lineup that spans continents and genres, this year’s edition reflects how global the music industry has evolved, with Asian artists taking on a more central role on one of the world’s biggest stages.
