Ahead of its April 29 release, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway are turning every city stop into a runway—pun intended.
It’s been nearly 20 years since The Devil Wears Prada became part of pop culture. The 2006 film followed Andy Sachs, a young journalist who lands a job at a top fashion magazine under the famously exacting Miranda Priestly. Along the way, it gave us lines we still quote, a cerulean sweater, and a version of fashion that felt both intimidating and fascinating.
The sequel picks things up in a very different landscape. Traditional publishing isn’t what it used to be, and Miranda is now dealing with that shift head-on. Emily Charlton is no longer an assistant but a major player in the luxury space, holding the kind of influence Miranda once did, and Andy Sachs is long past her assistant days.

But before the film even reaches cinemas, the press tour is already offering a glimpse of how these characters have evolved.
Below, a breakdown of Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway’s press tour looks so far—from Mexico City to Tokyo to Seoul.
Mexico City

Meryl Streep opened in a red Dolce & Gabbana suit with sharp tailoring, paired with statement jewelry and a custom clutch. She also wore a Schiaparelli look during this stop. Anne Hathaway balanced it out with a pink Stella McCartney mini dress and thigh-high boots, followed by a black Schiaparelli fringe dress with a sculptural gold belt and keyhole pumps.

Tokyo

Streep stepped out in Chanel by Matthieu Blazy, while Hathaway wore Valentino couture from the Spring 2026 collection—a strapless dress with a structured bodice and dramatic ruffles, styled with Bulgari jewelry.
Seoul
For the press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel, Meryl Streep wore a red Prada suit with a double-breasted blazer, styled with a brown leather belt. Anne Hathaway stepped out in a Vaquera look, pairing black leather pants with a white off-shoulder top.

Later that evening, both switched up their palettes for the premiere at Times Square. Anne Hathaway wore a red Balenciaga look with a billowing bomber-style jacket and fitted skirt, while Meryl Streep opted for an all-black custom Celine suit with matching sunglasses.

Outside the red carpets, Meryl Streep’s off-duty looks are just as considered. In New York, she stepped out in a Givenchy leopard coat, paired with a DeMellier bag, Gianvito Rossi shoes, and statement accessories. Then there’s the cerulean moment: for a late-night appearance, she wore a custom J.Crew sweater in that exact shade—a direct nod to one of the film’s most memorable scenes.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 arrives in Philippine cinemas on April 29, 2026. The sequel reunites the original cast, with tickets now available at major theater chains.
