Jet set in style: 5 Michael Kors bags for every travel need

From hobo bags and satchels to cosmetic purses, Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2025 collection has pieces that balance function and flair for globetrotters.

Handbags, just like luggage, go a long way in making every travel experience memorable and simple. With the right one, you get to navigate airports, cities, and tourist sites a lot easier. The wrong piece, on the other hand, is likely to give you something to stress about the entire trip. (Believe me, I’ve been there twice!)

When it comes to choosing the best handbag for travel, it’s always advisable to look for one with the perfect balance between function and flair. They’re spacious enough to hold your passport, wallet, cosmetics, and extra scarf or jacket for when it’s chilly, and at the same time, stylish enough to spruce up even the most basic ‘fits or help you channel your inner jet-setter in your photos.

While finding the perfect piece is easier said than done, especially with a plethora of options out there, knowing where to look is key. For that, there’s travel-focused label Michael Kors, which recently launched its Fall/Winter 2025 collection in the Philippines, featuring several handbags that are purposeful as much as they are gorgeous.

At the event held on Nov. 7, 2025, at Raffles Makati, the American fashion house gave The POST a tour of the hotel’s Legacy suite, where Michael Kors handbags were presented as part of various, relatable scenarios that today’s glamorous and fast-paced woman goes through during trips abroad. In each one, the bags stood out with the house’s mastery of blending stylish elegance with modern convenience.

The concept is based on the Michael Kors “Hotel Stories” content series, which highlights a boutique hotel each season. For Fall 2025, the label focuses on the historic Grand Hotel Plaza in Rome—a landmark location known for its innate cinematic appeal. It serves as the perfect backdrop for the brand’s video and social content, as well as the starting point for the brand’s additional wanderlust-inspiring Rome content featuring brand ambassador and Hollywood “it” girl Suki Waterhouse.

From the campaign starring Waterhouse to the arrival of Michael Kors’ F/W2025 collection in Manila, the American premium label proves that it has the bag for every travel need and every fashion style—it’s just a matter of selecting the one that best suits you. To get you started, we listed five of the collection’s most covetable bags to keep you company in your next adventure and beyond.

Nolita hobo bag

Photos from Michael Kors Philippines

Our exploration of Michael Kors’ F/W2025 collection began with the Nolita hobo bag, a relaxed yet refined carryall, which was placed on a coffee table, as if waiting to be taken on an adventure outside or unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The bag is, indeed, an ideal day-to-night companion with its supple earth-toned nubuck leather and structured edges that define its shape. It’s large enough to stash everything you need and comes with adjustable straps that make it suitable for various occasions.

Hamilton satchel

Our next stop featured the ultimate star of the collection, the Hamilton satchel. A modern take on the house’s iconic 2009 handbag, this satchel exudes a bohemian vibe, with its fringed suede, side gussets, and a belted design finished with a polished chain-link pendant. Other variations—pebbled leather and signature canvas—were spread throughout the suite, each catering to jet setters who bring glamour and personality to every destination.

Laila crossbody bag

Inside the bedroom, the Michael Kors woman was depicted in a scenario most jet setters are all too familiar with. Two dresses, both from the F/W 2025 collection, were laid out across the bed, watches and wallets were on the bedside table on the left. A pair of shoes was on the right, along with the Laila satchel in burnished leather. The room is quite cluttered, depicting a jet setter who couldn’t decide on what to wear and what to bring, with so many options from her wardrobe that’s both classy and trendy.

But one thing’s for sure, she knows what she wants in a bag and gets it. The Laila satchel right beside her bed has a structured silhouette that reflects her sophistication and confidence, while its roomy interior and adjustable shoulder strap equip her with spontaneity for life’s adventures. Clearly, it’s a bag “to take you from dawn to dusk with ease,” as the house wrote on its website.

Jana crossbody bag

Michael Kors is a brand that knows how to bring luxury from the intimacies of the bathroom to the glamorous nightlife of Ibiza, Miami, Las Vegas, or Dubai. It shows in its new Jana crossbody bag, which comes in an extra-small interior to hold your go-essentials, either as a cosmetics case or a party accessory. It can be carried either by the top handle or the detachable crossbody strap, proving that compact can also be versatile. Made from croc-embossed leather, this high-shine bag is exactly what you need for an iridescent look in every destination.

Sable backpack

Working and traveling but still want to stay productive? The Michael Kors Sable backpack is for the dynamic woman who actually gets things done—and with flair. The versatile backpack does it all, with its outside pockets for quick-and-easy access to small essentials, a spacious interior with a laptop compartment for all your work and leisure needs, and the house’s classic signature print for stowing everything in style. Its luggage tag adds extra polish to the already chic luggage.

All these bags and the rest of the Michael Kors Fall/Winter 2025 collection are now available in Metro Manila stores, including Greenbelt 3, Power Plant Mall, Shangri-La Plaza, and Resorts World Manila.
